Nokia Lumia 1520: The best Lumia yet needs very deep pockets

The Nokia Lumia 1520 marks an important milestone for Windows Phone 8 as it comes with many firsts for the platform. One of the biggest is Nokia's shift to a larger display and we feel they might have over done it a bit. There's also sibling rivalry...

Nokia Lumia 1520 Review

Phablets have been on the rise over the past few years as companies have been scrambling to catch the category Samsung essentially created when they released the Galaxy Note back in 2011. Since then, we've seen phablets from LG, HTC […]

Nokia Lumia 1520 review

Nokia may have sold its phone business to Microsoft, but it's not going out without a bang. Now available on AT&T, the Lumia 1520 is the most powerful Windows Phone we've ever used, and the first phablet to arrive for the platform. If you like...

Full HD screen ; Extra space for more Live Tiles ; Fast, powerful processor ; Great 20-megapixel camera ; MicroSD card support ; Great battery life

Size will be too large for many ; Stereo speakers would be nice ; Windows Phone may be a turn off

Nokia may be calling it quits, but this is its best phone yet. Though too large for some, it’s the most powerful Windows Phone we’ve tested and a great reason to consider the platform.

Samsung Galaxy Note 3 vs. Nokia Lumia 1520: Bigger, better, faster

We venture again into the realm of phablets, one that at the beginning seemed to promise little more than a short burst of action, has become the scene of some of the most thrilling battles this industry has seen. The showdown we're about to witness...

We've done our fair share of head-to-head articles this year, but there's no better way of completing it than by seeing the two most powerful phablet beasts stand against each other. It's the Sherlock Holmes against Professor Moriarty of the mobile...

Nokia Lumia 1520 (AT&T)

Beautifully built. Spectacular camera. Clear screen. Excellent music quality. Elegant interface

Camera's rather slow. Comically huge. In the end, just a big phone

The Nokia Lumia 1520 is a gigantic smartphone with an excellent camera, but it's just plain too much phone for most people.

Phabulous

Phablets demand a certain level of commitment from their users. Straddling the line between a smartphone and a tablet also means having to deal with inherent trade-offs that come with these larger-screened devices — things like reduced pocketability...

Amazing camera with a bunch of dedicated apps. Outstanding audio recording. Bright, vivid screen makes for a nice outdoor viewing experience

Slightly bigger than other 6-inch screen phablets. Polycarbonate body feels cheap. Design doesn’t stand out. At all

AT&T Nokia Lumia 1520 review: Beast of a phone, but not the best

Summary: Nokia's massive 6-inch Windows Phone is available this week and includes all the best specs allowed by Microsoft. However, AT&T made some design trade-offs that detract from the overall value.

Nokia Lumia 1520 Review

You're to blame for the vast Nokia Lumia 1520 . "Make a phablet" we kept asking Nokia, "give us a big Windows Phone to compete with the Galaxy Note." That Nokia - and Microsoft - went off to the drawing board and returned with a hand-dominating 6-inch...

There's a big market for big phones. Samsung's Galaxy Note 3 and its predecessors have shown us that, and the gradually increasing size of the average flagship handset's display suggests the rest of the market has caught on. The Lumia 1520 has seen...

Nokia Lumia 1520 review: the best Windows Phone device yet

Windows Phone has never looked this good. The latest update to Microsoft's mobile operating system, known as Update 3, added support for 1080p displays,

Vibrant display ; Top-of-the-line hardware ; Great imaging experience ; Solid build quality

Can be uncomfortable to hold ; 6-inch display may be too big for some

The Lumia 1520 offers a Windows Phone experience unlike any we've seen before. With its top-notch hardware, fantastic imaging and constantly improving firmware, this is by far our favorite WP8 device.

Nokia Lumia 1520

Bigger isn't always better, but in Nokia's case, it is. The 6-inch Lumia 1520 for AT&T is the fastest Windows Phone ever made. Slimmer and lighter than you'd expect for a supersize handset, the 1520 brings home the goods: a huge 1080p HD display, a...

Nokia's Lumia 1520 delivers a large, glare-fighting screen, a fast processor, plenty of storage, and a strong 20-megapixel camera for the same on-contract price as a smaller premium phone.

Its size makes one-handed operation difficult, and call quality was muddier than on most Nokia phones. Limited voice dictation and voice assistance in the OS hobbles its usefulness as a phablet.

Though it lacks some features found in its big phone rivals, the Nokia Lumia 1520 is a great buy for Windows Phone fans seeking a supersize smartphone with premium hardware.
