Nokia Lumia 930 Review

Nokia has once again refreshed its Windows Phone lineup with the release of the Lumia 930, which is the spiritual successor to the Lumia 920 which first launched with Windows Phone 8.0 way back in November 2012. But like the Lumia 630, it takes cues...

The design of the phone is also striking, especially when equipped with the more vibrant green or orange backs. The aluminum frame around the outside certainly gives the phone a premium feel. The Corning Gorilla Glass has a fantastic coating applied to...

Nokia Lumia 930 review: like the Icon, but better

Microsoft's acquisition of Nokia is now bearing fruit, but as often happens when big companies merge, there aren't enough jobs to go around. More than 10

Top specs with strong performance to match ; Excellent display ; Fantastic camera ; Good battery life

Lacking in standout design features ; Premium price

The Lumia 930 is arguably the best Windows Phone on the market, with a brilliant camera and top-end specs. It's also an improvement over the US version, the Lumia Icon, thanks to broader LTE band support and a free wireless charger in the box.

Nokia Lumia 930 review: Iconic once again

It may be a new house, new rules - but no sharp movements just yet. In the aftermath of Microsoft's recent acquisition of Nokia's devices and services department, it's really anyone's guess what will happen with the Finnish company that was once at the...

Nokia Lumia 930 ( white)

If you're tired of seeing all those Samsung Galaxy phones and iPhones in everyone's hands and fancy something different -- a little more colourful maybe -- cast your eyes over Nokia's latest flagship. The Lumia 930 has a slick metal band running around...

The Nokia Lumia 930 has a crisp, bold display that makes Netflix shows look great, its camera is up there with the best and its metal and colourful plastic body will turn at least a few heads.

Its battery life doesn't impress, it's quite a chunky beast, Windows Phone 8.1 doesn't come with the Cortana voice assistant outside of the US and the platform still suffers from a mediocre app selection.

With its great display, brilliant camera and attractive, colourful design, the Nokia Lumia 930 has most of what you'd expect from a top-end Windows Phone device. It's battery lets it down though and with an unimpressive selection of apps still...

Nokia Lumia 930 Review

With a vivid, 5-inch, full-HD display; 20-MP camera; and a fast processor, the Nokia Lumia 930 is a powerful Windows Phone 8.1 device.

Vivid display; Fast performance; Comprehensive camera apps

Poor audio quality; Heavy

Nokia Lumia 930 and 630 review

Windows Phone isn't setting the world alight just yet, but it continues to show signs of promise in the cheaper end of the smartphone market. Microsoft knows this. It's why the first Windows Phone 8.1 device is a low-end Lumia 630. With Windows Phone...

Great display ; Windows Phone 8.1 improvements ; High-res photos

Bland bulky design ; Still lacks quality apps ; Slow camera performance

Too bulky and heavy to be a true flagship

Nokia Lumia 930 Review

Nokia Lumia 930 has most that is needed to take the Android flagships head-on, like a large 1080p display, quad-core Snapdragon processor, 2 GB of RAM, 32 GB of internal memory, and a 20 MP main camera, coupled with first-in-class Dolby surround sound...

Nice display with very good outdoor visibility ; Fluid and stable video footage with 3x lossless zoom ; Great soundtrack quality for videos ; Excellent call quality

Somewhat chunky ; Photos often have inaccurate colors ; Cumbersome nano SIM card format

We found the Nokia Lumia 930 to be an excellent Windows Phone device. Perhaps the biggest virtue of the 930 is that it finally packs Nokia's PureView camera goodness into a fairly compact and manageable format, coming with solid premium build but...

Nokia Lumia 930 Review

The Lumia 930 is Nokia's new flagship and successor to the Lumia 925. You might notice that this handset looks very similar to the Lumia Icon the company released earlier this year exclusively on Verizon, and that's because it's essentially the...

Windows Phone is constantly improving. Solid hardware, from a fast processor and great camera, to a beautiful AMOLED display. Attractive design is Nokia’s best yet.

Camera metering is often dodgy. App quality continues to be Windows Phone’s Achilles’ heel.

The Lumia 930 is not only Nokia’s best smartphone to date, but it’s also the best Windows Phone. Since the last standard-sized flagship, the Lumia 925, the company has managed to improve numerous aspects of the hardware to make it a true competitor to...

Nokia Lumia Icon & Lumia 930 Review: Windows Phone, Premium

Nokia Lumia 930 review

Since Microsoft acquired Nokia's phone hardware business there's been some confusion about where things go from here. Take the Lumia 930, the top-spec Windows Phone 8.1 smartphone that we've been reviewing for the last few days: Microsoft has left the...

Great screen colour and brightness, decent camera, solid build quality, Windows Phone 8.1 most compelling it's ever been

Bit on the chunky side, top gaming apps lack, camera exposures can be off, Windows Phone 8.1 still has some catch-up to do

The Lumia 930 is as close as we've got to Windows Phone's wow moment. But, in saying that, we're still on the fence about whether it's enough to lure new customers in.
