Nokia N78

The unlocked Nokia N78's svelte design and assisted GPS separate it from a crowded field of smartphone competitors.

Lightweight. Clear voice quality. Supports Wi-Fi, HSDPA, and GPS. Full-featured (and great-sounding) music player.

Cramped numeric keypad. Camera performance lags behind Nokia's N82 and N95. Some built-in apps could use an overhaul. Quiet speakerphone.

Nokia N78

The Nokia N78 is a fun phone to use, and despite some annoyances it's likely to find fans in those looking for a feature-filled Apple alternative.

Stylish and fun, Compact, Feature-rich including GPS and FM transmitter, 3.5mm audio jack

Small keypad, Difficult to connect to WiFi, GPS has hidden charges

Nokia N78 (unlocked) review: Nokia N78 (unlocked)

First introduced at GSMA 2008 , the Nokia N78 is finally making its way to the States. Like the other N series models , the N78 has a heavy focus on multimedia, boasting a 3.2-megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics, the ability to record video at VGA...

The Nokia N78 features a 3.2-megapixel camera and integrated GPS for navigation and geotagging capabilities. The smartphone also offers U.S. 3G support, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth.

The N78 didn't have the best call quality, nor did it produce great pictures. It's also expensive.

As with all Nokia N series smartphones, the Nokia N78 impresses with its high-end features, especially the new geotagging tool, but we were slightly disappointed by the spotty call quality.

Nokia N78 review: Bitter sweet

Love it or leave it won't do here, we're afraid. Love it or hate it is more like it. There's so much to get excited about with Nokia N78. The excellent display and capable camera, topped with Navi wheel, FM transmitter, GPS and Wi-Fi sure round off a...

2.4" 16M-color display of QVGA resolution ; 3.2 megapixel camera with auto focus and LED flash ; S60 UI with Feature Pack 2 ; FM transmitter ; Navi wheel ; 3G with HSDPA ; microSD card slot, 2GB card in the retail package ; GPS receiver and 3 months of...

Keypad or whatever they call it ; Shaky battery cover ; Not our kind of design ; Call, End and C key placement ; FM transmitter has weak signal

A nice - even if somewhat humble - alternative of Nokia N78 is Samsung i550w. Carrying a very similar feature-pack, it trades the FM transmitter and the Navi wheel for a trackball and a larger 2.6" screen. The best part about the Samsung is that it...

Nokia N78 Review

Nokia's Nseries lineup is well known for its high-end devices, but also for its expensive prices. Regardless, the company still has its fans, who took it right on top in the handset sales charts. However, not all that's expensive is also good, and...

The strong points of the smartphone are surely the HSDPA connectivity and excellent screen that offers a smooth multimedia experience. I will also mention here the 3.2 Megapixel camera, Wi-Fi, good GSM signal reception, FM transmitter, 3.5mm standard...

The hard-to-use keypad and slow operating system don’t go too well with the Nseries logo. The resemblance with the N81 device hasn't done any good to N78; on the contrary. Perhaps a much better solution for those looking for a cheap Nseries device...

Nokia N78 Cell Phone Review

The Nokia N78 is a multimedia-focused quad-band GSM smartphone with 3G capability that should work on GSM networks around the world.  The N78 has a candy bar form factor with a 2.4-inch display, a 3.2 megapixel camera, a GPS receiver, and more. It's a...

Nokia N78 Cell Phone Review - Manufacturer - Reviews - WirelessInfo.com - Cell Phone Reviews and Wireless Plan Ratings

The Nokia N78 packs much of the positive of its predecessor, the N73, into a smaller and arguably more stylish package. The addition of GPS and support for AT&T's 3G data network will get many excited about this handset. Sitting in the middle of...
