Oppo Find 5 review: Oppo-lent screen

Oppo is perhaps better known for its Blu-Ray players, but if the Find 5 fails to place it on the map as a phone maker, we don't know what will. The 5" 1080p screen will sure have plenty of eyeballs on it and its 441ppi density will certainly impress...

Quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE support ; 3G with HSPA ; 5" 16M-color 1080p IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen with 441ppi pixel density ; Android OS v4.1.1 Jelly Bean with custom UI ; Quad-core 1.5 GHz Krait CPU, 2 GB RAM, Adreno 320 GPU; Qualcomm Snapdragon S4...

Oppo doesn't have a history in phones, but you'd never tell just by looking at the Find 5. It's a beautiful device with killer specs and, better still, it's priced lower than the competition.

Oppo Find 5 (Unlocked)

The unlocked Oppo Find 5 is big, sleek, and worth a look, especially if you don't want to carry the same phone as everyone else.

Good size for a large screen handset. Beautiful display. Sharp design. Good camera.

Heavy. No LTE. Uneven video camera performance. No microSD slot.

OPPO Find 5 Review

The smartphone OPPO Find 5 was a surprise to behold when it first left the box here on the SlashGear review bench, mostly because when a relatively unknown smartphone brand delivers a package that appears to be too good to be true, it generally is....

The OPPO Find 5 is not a Samsung Galaxy device, nor is it an iPhone. It’s not a Motorola hardcore delivery, nor is it an LG powerhouse, or a Google Nexus device for that matter. It’s not the HTC One and it’s certainly not a Sony device. Instead you’ve...

Oppo Find 5 Review

With this year's Oppo Find 5, however, the Chinese company, established 2004, proved that it can make world-class phones in the hottest consumer electronics category at the moment. Has Oppo managed to prove that in this day and age any nimble...

Bright 1080x1920 pixel Full HD screen with very good viewing angles ; 20% cheaper than competing flagships ; HDR video mode comes handy in many situations ; Strong and clear loudspeaker

Basic version comes with 11 GB of user-available memory ; The handset is on the heavy and uncomfortable side ; Jittery autofocus and framerate during video capture ; Side key travel is shallow

It wouldn't be an exaggeration to say that these days any electronics manufacturer can pick Android and slap together a phone or two with off-the-shelf parts. The real challenge, however, is to pick the right ingredients for polished performance in all...

OPPO Find 5 review

After spending a considerable amount of time with the Find 5 as a daily device, it's clear that OPPO has put a lot of time into it. Coming out of (relatively) nowhere to produce a phone with a top-notch build quality, high-end internals and a great...

Oppo Find 5 Review: Not Perfect, But You Should Probably Pay Attention To It Anyway

In a world where Samsung and Apple dominate the smartphone sphere, and multi-billion dollar companies like Sony, LG, and Motorola struggle to maintain

The Find 5 is a phone that surprised me. When I opened it up, I expected lackluster, uninspired software, and cheap hardware. On at least one count, I was wrong - the Find 5's software is more complete in many ways than that of even the biggest...
