Pantech Burst review

Consider the high-end smartphone. While you lust after those, Pantech is on the prowl, steadily adding to and improving upon its army of budget offerings

Amazing performance ; Doesn't feel like a budget LTE phone ; Plenty of internal storage space

Unresponsive capacitive keys ; Camera needs some work ; Lackluster UI

If you're looking for LTE on the cheap, the Burst gives you some good bang for your buck.

Pantech Burst review: Pantech Burst

ThePantech Burstis blessed with 4G LTE, a terrific 4-inch Super AMOLED display, a great 5-megapixel camera, a dual-core 1.5GHz processor, interesting design touches, and a sweet $50 price tag.

The Burst's call quality and speakerphone are disappointing, battery life is so-so, and you'll need a tool or a set of talons to remove the back cover.

At just $50, the feature-rich Pantech Burst packs in more high-end goodies than you'd expect from a budget LTE phone. However, call quality and battery life aren't its strong suits.

Pantech Burst Written Review by Sydney

It's not every day you see a smartphone with a dual-core processor, 4G LTE capabilities, and a Super AMOLED display going for fifty bucks on-contract. For a phone of that caliber, you would generally expect to pay at least $100, if not $200.

LTE capable; gorgeous Super AMOLED display; great price; futuristic hardware design; super-fast dual-core processor; 16GB of internal memory

Pictures taken with the camera were too soft; HD video quality was disappointing; LTE means sub-par battery life; Pantech's UI is love it or hate it

It's not perfect but the pros far outweigh the cons. Definitely check out the Burst, even if you're not on a budget. Heck, check out the Burst and the Element and get them both for only fifty bucks more than the Galaxy S II Skyrocket by itself.

"You can get more than what you pay for with this phone!"

This phone is AMAZING. I got it a few months ago off of eBay and its one of the best phones I've had. I got it for about 75$ and I got way more than I paid for. It had the ICS update straight out of the box that was good :) The one thing I didn't like...

"Lots of features"

Great phone if you never get too far from a charger.

Good screen pretty fast.

Battery life is abysmal. I generally make less than 10 short phone calls a day and send a couple text messages. I might check my email a coupl eo ftimes a day. Despite such low usage the phone will not make it through the day w/o a charge.

"Solid, easy to use, lots of hidden fun extra's."

Great phone, especially for the price(I bundled with the Pantech Element Tablet). Previous phone was an HTC Inspire and the menu's were extremely similar, coupled with the linked accounts holding information, I had very little setup. The battery is...

Previous phone android so virtually no setup once I logged into existing accounts. Front and rear facing camera's, large display, easy to use w/menu's similar to other android phones. Battery life is the best I've seen on a smartphone. Clear calls.

Does NOT support visual voicemail, even though I was told it did. When I tried to download the AT&T app on android market it says device not compatible. Two days of solid playing with the phone and that is the only con I have found.

Good easy phone for beginners

Good Phone

This is an excellent inexpensive smartphone. Battery life is the one drawback. Takes great pictures, better than my sons Iphone. Phone calls are clear. 4GLTE is fast. WiFi works great.
