Pantech Discover review: Unlikely hero

Launched during AT&T's developer conference at CES 2013, the Pantech Discover is the company's most capable Android smartphone to hit the United States yet. The LTE handset follows the same formula as its two predecessors, the Pantech Burst and the...

Quad-band GSM and tri-band 3G support ; Class 17 LTE connectivity ; 4.8" 16M-color LCD capacitive touchscreen of HD (720 x 1280 pixels) resolution ; Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich with custom UI including easy mode for first-time smartphone users ;...

No dedicated camera button ; No Android Jelly Bean out of the box ; Slow still camera performance

The Pantech Discover is stylish and affordable without compromising on functionality. If the handset had launched six months ago, it would have been one of best value offerings in the Android smartphone game. Unfortunately, it missed its chance and now...

Pantech Discover (AT&T)

Best known for entry-level feature phones, Pantech has been making quite a different name for itself lately with powerful, budget-priced smartphones like the $49.99 Pantech Discover for AT&T. We really liked Pantech's last smartphone, the Flex, but we...

Solid performance. Nice display. Sleek design. Long battery life

Lackluster video capture. Lots of bloatware

The Pantech Discover for AT&T gets you the same features and performance you'll find in smartphones that cost more than twice the price, making it the best budget phone there is.

Pantech Discover Review

Quietly whittling away in the background, Korean based smartphone manufacturer Pantech has been making some strides in the high-end department of late. Not too long ago, we were rather impressed in the direction that they were steering in with the...

Pretty sweet design ; Fantastic price point ; Some new software enhancements

Display is a bit washed out ; Sluggish performance ; Extremely underwhelming performance with its camera

Are you strapped for cash and still yearn for some kind of sweet smartphone, but don’t want to settle on a typical entry-level device? Well, you’re in luck because the Pantech Discover is going to be the right fit for you – albeit, it’s still without...

Pantech Discover

Pantech isn't known for their high end phones, but that's changing with elegantly designed, well equipped Android smartphones like the Pantech Discover. The phone has a 4.8" display running at 1280 x 720 and a sleek design that doesn't look the least...

Attractive phone with great specs at a very low price

Not running the very latest version of Android and no promise of a future OS version updates

Pantech Discover review

With an attractive price and build quality, the Discover is an interesting proposition. But will its notable shortcomings have you looking elsewhere?Pantech, much like other smartphone manufact...

Pantech has seriously improved many aspects of this device compared to previous models, and made many good choices, but it just falls short in enough areas that the complete package is less than compelling. The one thing Pantech has accomplished with...

Review: Pantech Discover for AT&T

Pantech puts the big boys on notice with the Discover, its latest Android smartphone for AT&T. It offers all the performance you'd expect from a flagship device at one-quarter the cost of the competition. Here is Phone Scoop's full review.

"Does not work with media enabled Bluetooth devices"

Will not work with the Ford MicrosoftSync stereo, Sony Explode Bluetooth car stereo, or the Motorola T505 Bluetooth handset with music playthrough. Works well with Bluetooth Handset only devices. Pantech Support confirmed this in an email

Large screen, nice camera. Nice Price.

Screen likes to turn off. Pantech Support said it will not work with Bluetooth media enabled headsets.

"I LOVE THIS PHONE!! Great deal for $50.00"

For a Android smartphone that's $150.00 LESS than some other phones and has the same features you'd be crazy NOT to get it.

Good Price[$49.99]

No Jelly Bean yet.
