Pantech Discover Review

Budget smartphones are rarely inspiring. But for a few notable exceptions, they don't tend to compete with the big flagship phones on hardware or features. Wireless customers looking for a less expensive device often have to settle for less, especially...

Comfortable, compact, attractive design ; Long battery life ; Large and beautiful display ; Impressive audio ; Speedy performance

Skin feels overstuffed and overcomplex at times ; Camera app is light on features

the Pantech Discover is more impressive than phones twice its price. It can't compete directly with the Galaxy S4's of the world, but for a $50 budget phone, it's at the top of its class.

Pantech Discover review: Unlikely hero

Launched during AT&T's developer conference at CES 2013, the Pantech Discover is the company's most capable Android smartphone to hit the United States yet. The LTE handset follows the same formula as its two predecessors, the Pantech Burst and the...

Quad-band GSM and tri-band 3G support ; Class 17 LTE connectivity ; 4.8" 16M-color LCD capacitive touchscreen of HD (720 x 1280 pixels) resolution ; Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich with custom UI including easy mode for first-time smartphone users ;...

No dedicated camera button ; No Android Jelly Bean out of the box ; Slow still camera performance

The Pantech Discover is stylish and affordable without compromising on functionality. If the handset had launched six months ago, it would have been one of best value offerings in the Android smartphone game. Unfortunately, it missed its chance and now...

Pantech Discover (AT&T) Review

The Pantech Discover really grabs your attention -- and not just because of its low $49 price. It's curvy design, bright HD display and punchy stereo speakers make it a truly unique offering. The only real drawbacks are this handset's below-average...

Sharp and bright 4.8-inch display, Punchy stereo speakers, Easy-to-use interface, NFC capabilities

Below-average battery life, Lacks Jelly Bean

Pantech Discover review: a budget phone has never looked so premium

Watch out, folks: Pantech is moving up the AT&T food chain. Once known in the US as little more than a budget brand, the Korean company is learning

Nice display ; Solid performance ; Outside-the-box design ; Affordable price

Thanks to its solid build and premium components, the Discover is the best phone in its price range on AT&T.

Pantech Discover ( AT&T)

Pantech isn't as well-known as fellow Korean smartphone competitors LG and Samsung, and it's a shame. It tends to sell attractive and original smartphones with top-tier U.S. carriers at a low contract cost. For example, the Pantech Discover offers...

The 4G LTE Pantech Discover has an excellent ergonomic design, great external speakers, a good camera, and comes at an incredible value.

Not all of the Discover's specs are top-notch, including the Android 4.0 OS that excludes Google Now.

If you're looking for an inexpensive Android phone to fall in love with, AT&T's $50 Pantech Discover is it.

Pantech Discover

Pantech isn't known for their high end phones, but that's changing with elegantly designed, well equipped Android smartphones like the Pantech Discover. The phone has a 4.8" display running at 1280 x 720 and a sleek design that doesn't look the least...

Attractive phone with great specs at a very low price

Not running the very latest version of Android and no promise of a future OS version updates

Pantech Discover Review: A Pretty Decent Smartphone

Pantech is one of those forgettable brands known best for its cheapo Android phones. But with the Discover, the company is attempting to shake that image without sacrificing price. Here we have more than adequate specs inside a pretty peculiar…

"Does not work with media enabled Bluetooth devices"

Will not work with the Ford MicrosoftSync stereo, Sony Explode Bluetooth car stereo, or the Motorola T505 Bluetooth handset with music playthrough. Works well with Bluetooth Handset only devices. Pantech Support confirmed this in an email

Large screen, nice camera. Nice Price.

Screen likes to turn off. Pantech Support said it will not work with Bluetooth media enabled headsets.
