BlackBerry Tour 9630 (Verizon Wireless) review: BlackBerry Tour 9630 (Verizon Wireless)

The RIM BlackBerry Tour 9630 offers world-roaming capabilities as well as Bluetooth, GPS, and a 3.2-megapixel camera. The smartphone offers a great design that combines a sharp display and an easy-to-use QWERTY keyboard in a fairly compact size.

The smartphone lacks Wi-Fi. The Web browser falls short of the competition, and there's a bit of shutter lag on the camera. You can't save applications to a media card.

With a winning design and fast performance, the RIM BlackBerry Tour 9630 is one of Verizon Wireless' top smartphones for both business users and messaging fanatics.

Invest in another phone away from the blackbe...

I've had sprint for 4 years. Had the blackberry 8703e, Curve 8830 & most recently Blackberry Tour. The tour offers great features when put to the test. Audio presents is great, and Sprint offers unlimited data as a standard plan unlike all providers

Worst reception. Sprint has updated their blackberry OS to 5.0. As default you will not be able to downgrade the TOUR to any lower versions. You can forget about ROAMING ONLY. Sprint has two options HOME ONLY or AUTOMATIC. Both SUCK. NO reception

I like the slick design, nice and clear picture and the ease of the navigation function

For the first 2 mos I had serious battery and some trackball issues. It kept freezing up all of the time to the point of annoyance. I had to remove the battery every other day to get it working again. Sometimes the phone wouldn't come on at all

The bottom line is that if I could do it all over again I would probably go with an HTC due to the early one problems I had. I was excited when I first got this phone, but soon after my excitement left and my disappointment began to grow. Early in my...
