Porsche P'9521

If you think Porsche's cars are cool, then you're gonna love the cell phone - and it's slightly more affordable then a 911.

Known for ultra-luxurious sports cars, Porsche decided to throw their expertise craftsmanship into the cell-phone market, by designing and building the P'9521. With its solid aluminum casing, the Porsche P'9521 stands out from other phones. Much like...

Sagem Porsche Design P'9521

Boasting a fingerprint scanner, an accelerometer and a double-hinged display, the Porsche Design P'9521 is an interesting concept to say the least. Al...

Fingerprint scanner, accelerometer, double-hinged display, in-line remote with 3.5mm headphone jack, OLED

No 3G connectivity, cumbersome and slow user interface, block design is heavy and uncomfortable, mediocre keypad, poor camera

It's an interesting concept, but given its asking price the P'9521 lacks some basic features. An uncomfortable, boxy design, a lack of 3G connectivity and a slow user interface mean this handset is best avoided.

Porsche Design P'9521 review

We love the fingerprint scanner and the accelerometer features, but the lack of 3G and so-so camera are a let down. At the end of the day the Porsche Design P'9521 is simply not desirable enough to make us want to part with £800 of our hard earned cash

Fingerprint scanner ; Motion sensor ; Good music player

Big and bulky ; No 3G ; Ludicrous price tag

Conclusion The Porsche P'9521 is certainly an interesting phone thanks to the solid aluminium construction, fingerprint scanner and accelerometer. However, luxury phones need to be unbelievably desirable to justify their high price tags and we just...

Maybe it's because we've never actually sat in a Porsche, but we're struggling to find the similarities between the P'9521 and Porsches of the past; except perhaps the exorbitant price tag. With no 3G or Wi-Fi there's very little to justify the expense.

Double-hinged display ; Sharp, clear OLED display ; Strong reception and call quality ; Accelerometer

Disappointing camera performance ; Below average battery life ; Jaw-dropping price tag

Conclusion The Porsche P'9521 is certainly an interesting phone thanks to the solid aluminium construction, fingerprint scanner and accelerometer. However, luxury phones need to be unbelievably desirable to justify their high price tags and we just...

We have to admit to feeling a little frisson of excitement at the prospect of getting to take the new Porsche design mobile for a spin. Born out of collaboration between the German "engineers of passion", Porsche Design Company, and French company...

The P'9521 is designed to impress, emanating total assurance, unsurpassed quality and sophistication in its purist lines, superior materials and bulletproof construction. If you've got a Porsche and want the phone to go with it, the P'9521 definitely...
