Samsung Chrono (Cricket Wireless)

This is a review of the Samsung Chrono for U.S. Cellular. Although the handset is nearly identical on Cricket, keep in mind that we did not test call quality and performance on Cricket's network.

The Samsung Chrono has excellent call quality, large dial-pad buttons, and a smooth, attractive design.

Its basic screen resolution and camera don't do the Chrono any favors.

A fantastic price and clear call quality make the Samsung Chrono a top pick for U.S. Cellular customers who are looking for just the essentials.

"Gets the job done, but texting sucks."

The predictive text is so, so bad. Typing "I'll" gives you "I,lkl", "something" becomes "sometging", even the simplest words are non-existent while the program offers you complete gibberish instead. Worst of all is when predictive text *seems* to be...

Large display, all the standard features.

The worst predictive text program I have ever encountered, exterior volume button makes it too easy to accidentally silence your phone, camera button is right where my thumb wants to be when taking calls.

"Least favorite of all my cricket phones"

This phone replaced what I thought was the same older model Samsung that took a swim with me when my boat sank. Build quality doesn't seem as sturdy, and it's been dumbed down for what?

Flip phone, info available on front screen, caller id and date time.

What's the use of having large numbers if they lay flat on the keypad?
