Samsung Conquer 4G (Sprint)

Sprint notes that the Samsung Conquer 4G is its 25th 4G-capable device, but that's not what makes the phone notable. It's notable because it's the carrier's first 4G smartphone to launch at less than $100. True, after taxes and other fees, you'll be...

The Samsung Conquer 4G is affordable and offers 4G capabilities. The Android 2.3 Gingerbread device also has a next-gen 1GHz Snapdragon processor, a front-facing camera for video calls, and mobile hot-spot capabilities

The smartphone has a lower-resolution display. Camera and speakerphone quality could be better

Though you sacrifice some higher-end features, the Samsung Conquer 4G gives Sprint customers a solid 4G smartphone at an affordable price.

Samsung Conquer 4G (Sprint)

The Conquer 4G runs the latest version of Android, 2.3.4 (Gingerbread), and Samsung has done very little to mess with it. You won't find Samsung's TouchWiz UI here, which makes this phone appealing to fans of stock Android. There's still some...

Fast 4G speeds. Solid call quality. Zippy performance. Runs Android 2.3 (Gingerbread). Great battery life. Compact and lightweight

Lower-end display resolution

The Samsung Conquer 4G offers Sprint users fast performance and 4G speeds in a small package with a good price.

Samsung Conquer 4G Review

We all know that if you wait long enough you can get a really good price on a product that is slightly aging. Arguably the most iconic device of 2010 was the HTC EVO 4G - it was the first 4.3” smartphone and the first 4G device in the US, along with...

Samsung Conquer 4G review

Samsung's got a lot going for them these days. They're shipping mad numbers of devices, making phones for different price points and consumers, and shoot, they even got build the coveted ...

If you're getting a new smartphone on Sprint and can't spring for a new, top-of-the-line phone, consider the Conquer 4G, briefly, then pick something else. It's not that it's a bad phone, but for the same amount of money, you can get phones with better...

Samsung Conquer 4G Review: A Smartphone for the Rest of Us

It is currently available from Sprint for the bargain price of $100 with a $50 mail-in rebate and a new two-year service contract. It is $400 sans contract

Small and lightweight ; Exceptional voice quality ; Good battery life (when not using 4G) ; Free of bloatwear apps

Smaller screen ; 4G rather spotty ; Just a 3.2MP camera

While it can't compete head-to-head with the big boys like the HTC ThunderBolt and EVO 3D, it's a good phone worthy of consideration by general consumers. If you're not a photo bug, the 3.2 megapixel camera isn't much of a downside, performance is...

Samsung Conquer 4G First Look Review: 4G on a Budget

The Conquer is a nice change from some of the recent smartphone "giants" that have been released in the last few months. It has a slightly smaller screen at 3.5-inches, and that means the overall handset is a bit smaller too. It's made out of plastic,...

The battery has a 1500 mAh capacity, but more extensive testing is required to determine if the Conquer offers acceptable battery life or whether the higher battery drain associated with 4G phones will be too much of an issue

Samsung Conquer 4G Review - Android Phone Reviews by MobileTechReview

The Samsung Conquer 4G is Sprint's most affordable 4G phone at launch. It sells for $99 with a 2 year contract, and it packs some solid features into a mid-sized handset. The Conquer 4G runs Android OS 2.3.4 Gingerbread, currently the latest version of...

Affordable 4G phone with good feature set

Lower resolution display

If you want an affordable 4G Sprint phone and have no desire for the thicker hardware QWERTY slider designs, the Samsung Conquer 4G is a well-equipped phone for $99 with contract. The year old HTC EVO 4G sells for the same price and it offers a larger,...

Samsung Conquer 4G (Sprint) review

If you want to pay next to nothing for a 4G smartphone, but want a little something after-all, the Samsung Conquer 4G should be seriously considered.

Compact size is nice ; Textured back ; 4G speeds ; Affordable price ; Expected Android experience

Awkward placement of audio jack ; Headphones slip out easily ; Low screen resolution ; Low quality speaker

Consumer review by:

"Not the best."

Good for the price, but you get what you pay for.

Good for calls and texts. Easy to use keyboard, also has talk-to-text.

Very, very, very slow. I don't have a lot of apps, and I delete my messages and the rest of my history all the time, but it still runs slow. There are times where I can't even unlock my phone because it freezes or just won't respond.
