Samsung Galaxy Ace S5830 - Not the Best in the Milky Way

Samsung has really hit it out in India. Right from budget handsets with features that are value for money, to high end smartphones with everything under the sun! Another segment that's pretty much dominating the scene is the mid-range segment. The...

The Galaxy Ace is priced very attractively at Rs. 15,500 (Best Price, MOP). Dissecting the handset’s features, there are a few issues like no support for XviD or DivX video codecs, average image quality and a display screen with a slightly low...

Samsung Galaxy Ace S5830 preview: First look

Well, you've met the family, now here is one of the new kids on the block. Midrange Froyo deserts for all it is, and the Samsung Galaxy Ace leads the gang. In an attempt to bring smartphone sales even higher, Samsung is ...

Samsung Galaxy Ace Review

If Samsung was hiding a secret card up its sleeve, one with ambition to trump mid-range Android smartphones with a smart combination of price and features, the Samsung Galaxy Ace would be our first guess. Rather than shooting for the stars it offers...

iPhone-like looks; Above average camera for stills; Hot-swappable microSD cards (up to 32GB)

Poor video recording; Below average calling quality ; No Flash; No DivX/Xvid codec support out of the box

Samsung Galaxy Ace S5830

The Samsung GALAXY Ace offers a premium experience with compact and comfortable 3.5-inch HVGA display, a 800MHz processor, voice search and ThinkFree Office document viewer.

Affordable; runs on Android 2.2 Froyo; compact and light; TouchWiz 3.0 interface; camera is decent for still photos.

Slow processor; limited on-board storage; QVGA quality video recording; low-resolution screen.

The Samsung Galaxy Ace is a very much a scaled-down version of Samsung's higher-end Galaxy phones. Its target definitely isn't the high-end user who is looking to upgrade their Android phone but rather those who are contemplating buying their first...

Samsung have made absolutely no effort whatsoever with the Samsung Galaxy Ace 5380. Whether it be in the design department, UI, OS and any other part, the phone has no new features, specs or ideas to present to the consumer at all. As a matter of fact...
