Samsung Galaxy Apollo Review

The Samsung Galaxy Apollo is Samsung's follow up from the Samsung Galaxy S. Being sure not to overlap the target audiences, the Samsung Galaxy Apollo is aimed more toward the low to mid tier customers that the Galaxy S does not reach out to. Packing a...

The Samsung Galaxy Apollo is truly an average phone that fits right in between power users and regular cell phone users. It's interesting to note that in the U.S. market, Samsung is currently planning a very similar phone, the Samsung Gem, and one has...

Samsung Galaxy Apollo

The Samsung Galaxy Apollo is an Android 2.1 device with Samsung's TouchWiz 3.0 overlay. It is currently available on the Orange network and also unlocked in the UK.

It has a 3.2 inch touchscreen and an optical trackpad. A 3.15 MP camera with autofocus is onboard as well.

The definitive Samsung Galaxy Apollo Review

Extremely responsive screen; Multi-touch zooming; Feature-packed camera; Great media and video performance

No camera flash; Awful Orange widgets & apps; No trackpad or optical sensor; Low-res video recording

There's no physical camera button, with the only other blemishes on the Galaxy Apollo's all-glass front panel being a tiny proximity sensor near the earphone

Samsung Galaxy Apollo I5801

This budget Android touchscreen smartphone ticks many a boxes but misses a few too.

Good Value ; Responsive touchscreen ; Good battery life ; Surprisingly snappy

Low resolution screen ; Small screen ; No camera flash ; Slightly chunky design

The Samsung Galaxy Apolo I5801 is a rather nice handset in many ways. It's well built, has all the essential features and is easy to use. However, thanks to a certain Orange San Francisco, its value has been eroded, leaving it as something of an also...

Samsung Galaxy Apollo review

The Samsung Galaxy Apollo - also known as the Samsung Galaxy 580 - is a Google Android phone that doesn't skimp on too many features.

The Samsung Galaxy 580 Android smartphone is compact and feature packed, but it remains overpriced compared to alternatives, particularly the excellent LG Optimus One.

Samsung Galaxy Apollo

Samsung's Galaxy Apollo offers a multi-touch screen and a good range of features at a relatively low price point.

The Apollo has a lot going for it thanks to its speedy performance, multi-touch support, and good battery life. However, the small screen means that it can feel a little bit fiddly to use for web browsing and although it’s not exactly priced to an...

Samsung Galaxy Apollo GT-i5801 review

The Android-based Samsung Galaxy Apollo GT-i5801's slick touchscreen, reasonably powerful processor and impressive multimedia features help it rise above the moderately priced smart-phone competition

Responsive touchscreen with multi-touch support ; Fairly long battery life ; Good camera ; Impressive video playback

Chunky design ; Screen is on the small side

The Samsung Galaxy Apollo GT-i5801 is one of the best moderately priced Android handsets we've come across. The touchscreen is superbly responsive, the processor has enough grunt to keep everything running reasonably smoothly, and Samsung has added...

Samsung Galaxy Apollo Review

Like the Galaxy S, Apollo runs Android and features a 3.2-inch touchscreen.

The Samsung Galaxy Apollo is a good mid-range touchscreen phone. It’s slick, very easy to use and gives you access to thousands of apps on the Android Market. Available free on £20 contracts its certainly much cheaper than its bigger, more powerful...

Samsung Galaxy Apollo Review by 3G.co.uk

There's plenty of the benefits of Android on a well-made, budget

Disappointing snapper and slow GPS. The display is low-res and rather small

There’s plenty of the benefits of Android on a well-made, budget phone, but it can’t live up to the more expensive smartphones when it comes to performance

Samsung i5801 Galaxy Apollo Review

To be honest with you I was not very excited about the prospect of doing the Samsung Apollo review. Within five minutes of playing with it though I was pleasantly surprised. I thought that a cheap Android phone that as far as I am aware is...
