Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Smartphone Review

Back to being best. The Note 8 shines with a big, superb Infinity screen, high performance and, for the first time, with a dual-camera. As usual, the S-Pen that can be inserted into the casing is included. Whether Samsung has developed the ideal...

Samsung has again launched a superb product with the Galaxy Note 8 and there is no real alternative phablet for fans of the S Pen. The handset comes with an outstanding configuration. However, the manufacturer could have gladly been a bit more generous...

Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Review

SIMPLY THE BEST LARGE-DISPLAY PHONE

Excellent 6.3 inch Super-AMOLED display;World-class digital pen phone experience;Thin and comfortable but powerful design

Smaller battery than the Galaxy S8+

The Galaxy Note 8 is an excellent handset that dominates today’s large screen (6.3"€+) smartphone landscape. If you are a digital pen lover, this is the best you can get. If you only care about the screen and battery size, the Xiaomi Mi Mix might be...

Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Phone review

Editor's note : The Galaxy Note 8 is now on sale in select markets, including the US.

The Galaxy Note 8 tops Samsung's already excellent S8 and S8 Plus with dual cameras and a boatload of stylus tricks. It's the most feature-rich Android phone you can buy.

An expensive phone, the Note 8 has more features than most people will need. Samsung's portrait mode can be finicky. The poorly placed fingerprint reader repeats the Galaxy S8's worst design flaw.

The Galaxy Note 8 retakes the throne as the ultimate Android phone for now, but some intense competition is just over the horizon.

Galaxy Note8: Features, specs and everything else you need to know

The follow-up to Samsung's ill-fated Note 7, the Galaxy Note 8 is the pinnacle of Samsung's phone design.

Not yet. The Note 8 ships with the Samsung Experience based on Android Nougat 7.1.1. However, Google has said it is working with Samsung to get some of its handsets updated to Oreo before the end of the year.

Samsung Galaxy Note 8: My first week with a nearly perfect smartphone

After last year's Note 7 fiasco, we weren't sure how Samsung and Note fans would respond. The Note 8 is a stunning phone and Note lovers are sure to appreciate the S Pen functionality, dual camera performance, and more.

Galaxy Note 8 review: Don't call it a comeback, call it the phone of the year

Samsung is back with the Note 8, a full redesign of last year's doomed handset that brings a gorgeous screen, awesome camera, and a few tricks up its sleeve.

Bright, brilliant 6.3-inch screen is a stunner in any light. ; Dual camera is a big step up from the S8 and Live Focus is a winner. ; The S Pen is better than ever and truly complements the Note's screen. ; Battery life in excellent despite a decrease...

Bixby button and fingerprint sensor are a nuisance. ; It might be a bit too big and heavy for some users.

The very existence of a stylus on the Note 8 is enough to set it apart from nearly every other smartphone, but the S Pen isn’t just for comfort and precision. It gives the Note a level of productivity that just isn’t available on other handsets. Aside...

Samsung Galaxy Note 8

Representing the current pinnacle of smartphone technology, the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 phone has everything that's great about the Galaxy S8, plus dual cameras and an S Pen stylus.

High-quality, waterproof build. Improved S Pen stylus. Dual cameras. Modem supports emerging networks.

Expensive. Too big to work with current Gear VR headset.

The Note 8 is the pinnacle of smartphone technology right now. There is no better processor, no better screen, no better sound quality, no better reception, and no better camera. It costs a lot of money, but you're getting what you pay for.

Samsung Galaxy Note 8 review: The epitome of a business-first smartphone

The first thing most people think of when the topic of Samsung's Note line comes up is last year's recall of the Note 7. Exploding batteries have a way taking over the conversation, and rightfully so.

New software features add value ; Solid camera ; Quick, responsive performance

Battery life could be a bit better ; Price is steep

Samsung Galaxy Note 8 review: Excellent, but still a tough sell

With its exceptional screen, solid performance and an improved S Pen, it's no surprise that Samsung's Galaxy Note 8 is its best big phone ever. It also doesn't hurt that it has one of the best dual camera setups we've ever seen. The problem is,...

Huge, beautiful display ; Excellent, water-resistant build ; Great dual camera ; S Pen is now more useful and fun

Very expensive ; Bixby can be flaky ; Not a huge improvement over the S8 Plus ; US version gets less storage than other regions

Samsung Galaxy Note 8 review

From the dual camera and S Pen, to the gorgeous Infinity Display, the Galaxy Note 8 is an all-around fantastic phone.

Good dual cameras ; Daylong battery life ; Speedy performance ; Handy S Pen features ; Waterproof

Expensive ; Live Focus needs some work ; Poor fingerprint sensor placement

The Galaxy Note 8 is a great phone all-around phone, with a great dual-camera setup, speedy performance, useful software features and S Pen, and IP68 waterproofing. But there are no distinguishing features that get us excited about it.
