Samsung Galaxy S Relay 4G review: Thumbs wanted

After numerous leaks and a name change prior to entering officialdom, the slide-out QWERTY sporting Samsung Galaxy S Relay 4G has made its way to the US market, aiming for users with a heavy knack for messaging. The epically named distant relative of...

Quad-band GSM and quad-band 3G support ; 42 Mbps HSDPA and 5.76 Mbps HSUPA support ; 4" 16M-color Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen of WVGA (480 x 800 pixels) resolution ; Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich with Samsung's latest TouchWiz launcher ; 1.5...

No dedicated camera button ; The screen is let down by its PenTile matrix ; 5MP camera does not fit the rest of the hardware or the price tag ; Large amount of non-removable T-Mobile bloatware with zero functionality ; The smartphone is hardly a looker

The Samsung Galaxy S Relay 4G adds a much desired hardware QWERTY keyboard to a package of specifications, which have been long tried and tested though not exactly in this combination. The dual-core Snapdragon S4 chipset is one of the leggiest around,...

Samsung Galaxy S Relay 4G review: T-Mobile's QWERTY slider falls flat

More InfoSamsung Galaxy S Relay 4G bringing keyboard, longwinded name to T-Mobile September 19thSamsung Galaxy S Relay 4G shows off all sides,

Good everyday performance ; Comfortable grip ; Solid battery life

Flat, nearly unusable keyboard ; Weak camera ; Cheap, overly branded design

The Samsung Galaxy S Relay 4G, T-Mobile's newest QWERTY slider, offers snappy performance and good battery life, but the uncomfortable keyboard is a dealbreaker.

Samsung Galaxy S Relay 4G (T-Mobile) review: Samsung Galaxy S Relay 4G (T-Mobile)

Phones with a keyboard are becoming a bit of an endangered species, but those who prefer physical buttons over virtual squares can take solace in the Samsung Galaxy S Relay 4G, an Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich handset that runs on T-Mobile's HSPA+ 42...

The Samsung Galaxy S Relay 4G has Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, a generous QWERTY keyboard, a good 5-megapixel camera, and some of the best call quality I've heard on a cell phone.

While roomy, the Galaxy S Relay 4G's keyboard will feel stiff for some, and the phone is on the bulky side.

Those looking for a QWERTY smartphone will gravitate to the thick and hearty Samsung Galaxy S Relay 4G, which has Android 4.0, strong hardware specs, and excellent call quality.

Samsung Galaxy S Relay 4G (T-Mobile)

The Samsung Galaxy S Relay 4G is T-Mobile's best keyboarded smartphone, but unless you really need that keyboard, you should go for the Galaxy S III.

Spacious slide-out keyboard. Fast performance and data speeds. Long battery life.

Mediocre call quality. Average camera. Bulky.

Multimedia and Conclusions The Relay comes with 4.89 GB of free internal storage. There's also an empty microSD card slot underneath the battery cover; my 32 and 64GB SanDisk cards worked fine. All of our music test files played back except for FLAC....

Samsung Galaxy S Relay 4G Review

Fantastic keyboard, Smooth performance

Boring design, Terrible photo & video capture

If you can somehow see through the boring design of the Samsung Galaxy S Relay 4G , you'll find a superb Android smartphone that manages to be a good device in the mid-range category. In this day and age, it seems that the sweet spot for mid-rangers...

Samsung Galaxy S Relay 4G Review

If you're in the market for low priced budget smartphone that has some quality specs and a hardware keyboard, we might have one for you. Samsung‘s added another device to their ever expanding lineup on T-Mobile with the new Galaxy S Relay 4G — complete...

As we said above, the Samsung Galaxy S Relay 4G is no slouch. In terms of any real QWERTY Slider competition on T-Mobile — there is none. The myTouch line runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread, as does the Galaxy S Blaze 4G, and neither have the dual-core S4...

Review: Samsung Galaxy S Relay 4G for T-Mobile

T-Mobile fills a spot in its lineup with the Galaxy S Relay 4G. This smartphone offers a QWERTY keyboard, Android 4.0, a 4-inch display, and speedy data. Phone Scoop puts the Relay through its paces so you don't have to. Here's what we think.

Good mid-range phone for the price

This is probably one of the best mid-range Samsung phones for T-Mobile and it is one of the few phones with a physical keyboard. I originally bought this phone for the keyboard, and I can honestly say that I haven't been impressed with that part of the...

decent camera, runs jelly bean, android os, has a keyboard, good screen quality, decent battery life, price

keyboard is mediocre, the light for the keyboard only stays on for 1 second, not enough ram for the os, will sometimes lag if you don't clear the ram, you need to press the home button hard for it to work
