Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Smartphone Review

A new standard. The conventional Galaxy S6 was already very convincing in our review. Samsung now offers a smartphone with two rounded display edges with the Galaxy S6 Edge for the first time, but the additional price is pretty steep. Our review shows...

Good display, Sophisticated materials, Great build quality, Thin and light, Fast SoC, Great camera, Good WLAN signal, High Bluetooth range, Great voice quality, Wireless charging, Quick charge

Storage not expandable, Neither MHL nor DLNA, No IP certification anymore, Mediocre GPS accuracy, Poor headset, Weak speaker

With or without a rounded display, the smartphones from the Galaxy S6-series are equipped with the latest hardware components and the Galaxy S6 Edge once again shows how innovative the Koreans can be. You will have to decide for yourself whether the...

Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge review

The curved screen on the Galaxy S6 Edge looks beautiful but harms the experience. We highly recommend a standard Galaxy S6.

The Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge are both absolutely gorgeous phones. They borrow a lot of design traits from the iPhone line, and that’s fantastic, because the iPhone is the most beautiful phone out there. But of the two, we do recommend the Galaxy S6 Edge.

Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge (Verizon Wireless)

The Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge is a gorgeous, powerful smartphone, but you're paying a pretty steep premium for curved glass.

Standout design. Premium materials. Excellent performance

Expensive. Edge design doesn't bring useful functions

The Samsung Galaxy S6 is the best Android smartphone, and the S6 Edge is an even prettier version of the Editors' Choice winner. So why doesn't it get the same hearty recommendation? At $299.99 (with contract) on Verizon, you're paying a sizeable...

DxOMark Mobile report: Samsung Galaxy S6 / S6 Edge

The Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge are Samsung's latest flagship smartphones and were launched at the Mobile World Congress in March. Apart from the curved screen edges of the S6 Edge they come with identical specifications and use the same camera...

The Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 edge Review

As recently as the Galaxy S5, Samsung had a fundamentally different strategy from companies like HTC and Apple. While design wasn't ignored completely, Samsung Mobile had a different set of priorities. In general, it felt like Samsung wanted the phone...

There’s a lot that we’ve covered in the course of this review, so it’s well worth reviewing everything before coming to any sort of final judgment.

Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 edge Review

Samsung has a lackluster track record making flagship smartphones with serious lust-appeal. Its plastic-bodied Galaxy range was the Camry trying to play in Mercedes and Audi territory, earnestly ticking the boxes on the spec sheet, but failing to grasp...

At first glance, it should be easy to make a flagship smartphone. Scoop off the cream at the top of the component chain, throw in some premium materials – you can take your pick, but metal and glass seem good places to start – and bingo. Problem is,...

Galaxy S6 Edge review: Samsung's vanity phone

This is one of Samsung's most beautiful products, but it may not be worth the extra Benjamin it costs to bring home.

Fantastic 16-megapixel camera that works well in all lighting situations ; Battery efficient, despite its Quad HD display

A bit of light leak in the display around the curved edges

The Galaxy S6 Edge is all beauty and brains, but you should only spend the extra cash if you absolutely want the novelty of a curved edge.

Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge review:

Editors' note: This review has been updated to include information about Samsung's newest Galaxy models, the S7 and S7 Edge , which were introduced at Mobile World Congress in March 2016. It also contains updated information about the Note 5 , S6 Edge+...

The Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge's wraparound screen transforms an already great phone into Samsung's best-looking handset. Ever.

That supercool design comes with a big price tag, and the screen doesn't deliver any real killer apps. Like the regular S6, the Edge doesn't support swappable batteries or expandable storage.

Samsung's striking, high-end Galaxy S6 Edge has the beauty, brains and brawn to take down the iPhone 6 and all the Android competition.

Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge ( 32GB, black sapphire)

Its two rounded sides create a bold, innovative design that isn't just the first commercial dual-curved display, it's also probably the best screen on a phone today. And although the S6 and S6 Edge share every major spec and nearly every color, it's...
