Samsung Galaxy 3 and Galaxy Apollo review: Galactic twins

Congratulations, it's twins! The Samsung I5800 Galaxy 3 and I5801 Galaxy Apollo are both in our office and they're keen to show everybody that Android is great for lower mid-range phones too as well as high-end phones.

Quad-band GSM and dual-band 3G support ; 3.6 Mbps HSDPA support ; Smart dialing ; 3.2" 16M-color TFT capacitive touchscreen of WQVGA (240 x 400 pixel) resolution; multitouch input ; Android OS v2.1 Eclair ; TouchWiz 3.0 UI customization (on both, I5801...

Display resolution is too low; poor sunlight legibility ; Editing complex documents is very slow ; No free GPS navigation solution ; No Flash support for the web browser ; Video recording is poor ; The all-plastic body is a real fingerprint magnet

Samsung I5800 Galaxy 3 preview: First look

Smartphones for the masses is what Samsung want and Bada alone won't be enough perhaps to get them there. Why not the Samsung I5800 Galaxy 3 then? A mid-range Android phone with a custom paintjob...

Android is infiltrating the lower smartphone ranks. Mission objective: cut down on expensive hardware features and provide a robust experience. The Samsung I5800 Galaxy 3 does just that. The hardware won't make it a flagship, but with 3G, Wi-Fi, GPS,...

Samsung Galaxy 3 i5800

The Samsung Galaxy 3 i5800 is the latest addition to the Galaxy line of phones. With a 3.2 inch touchscreen and a 3.15 MP camera, it isn't amongst the highest end phones, but it definitely packs a punch.

Samsung has really jumped into the Android world head first and this latest addition shows that they aren't stopping anytime soon.

Samsung Galaxy 3 Android Mobile Phone

Samsung's Galaxy range of devices is gaining quite a bit of popularity and after the success of their Corby devices, the company is getting more of the spotlight. One of their latest Android devices is the I5801 aka Galaxy 3. It's offered up as a lower...

I’m happy that Android powered devices are becoming more affordable all the time. Samsung’s Galaxy 3 comes with a price tag of Rs. 12,300 (MRP) but is available in certain locations for Rs. 11,900 (MOP). It might not as cheap as Spice’s Android...

It may have updated software, but the Apollo lacks its predecessor's excellent AMOLED screen and it feels far cheaper.
