Samsung OMNIA Review

The Samsung OMNIA is a nice phone. Its physical design is good, it feels great in the hand and the basics (dialing, sound quality, camera) are well executed. However, the touch-interface lacks the appeal of competitors like the iPhone and even the...

Samsung Omnia

In terms of features, the Omnia stands out as one of the best smartphones to date. It's a shame this doesn't translate into a phone we'd enjoy using from day to day.

More tech than you'll know what to do with, Great display, Excellent media codec recognition, DLNA networking

Windows Mobile makes it sluggish, Poor battery life, Only parts of the interface are finger-friendly, No 3.5mm input on handset

Samsung Omnia SGH-i900

Incomprehensible, buggy software design undermines the Omnia i900, an otherwise very well-specified iPhone competitor.

Solid, feature-rich 5-megapixel camera. Good Web browser. Stellar battery life. DivX support.

Very expensive. No 3G. Plenty of bugs and interface inconsistencies. No place to put the stylus—and you'll need one.

Samsung Omnia Review

The Omnia blurs the line between phone and a pocket Internet device. While its touchscreen isn't as accurate as the iPhone, and neither is the keyboard, the device looks just as sharp, and its 5-MP camera is far superior. It also offers twice the...

Top-notch user interface, Wi-Fi and HSDPA (in Europe) support, Loaded with apps, Supports multiple video and audio formats

3G doesn't work in the U.S., Keyboard and touchscreen could be more accurate, Expensive

Samsung i900 Omnia review: The whole nine yards

Quad-band GSM support ; 3G with HSDPA 7.2 Mbps ; Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional OS ; 624MHz Marvell PXA312 CPU and 128 MB RAM ; 3.2" 65K-color touchscreen with resolution of 240 x 400 pixels ; 5 megapixel autofocus camera with wide dynamic range mode,...

No stylus slot ; Poor sunlight legibility ; Memory card not hot-swappable ; Non-standard display resolution ; No dedicated 3D accelerator ; Non-standard USB port ; Web browser lacks real Flash support

The Diamond surely has a few things to offer over the Omnia (VGA screen, smaller size, 3D acceleration, and magnetic stylus) but it also has its issues here and there to make it a tough call indeed. We do hope however that this review will bring you a...
