Samsung Intensity II (deep gray, Verizon Wireless)

We're no stranger to sequels in the cell phone world, and the follow-up to the original Samsung Intensity makes a worthy update for Verizon's lineup. While mostly the same as the original in features and appearance, the Samsung Intensity II adds an...

The Samsung Intensity II has a full QWERTY keyboard, solid messaging and e-mail tools, and handy search and navigation extras. The attractive, compact design and eco-conscious construction is a bonus

The navigation keys are a little cramped, the 2.5 millimeter headset jack is inconvenient, you can't download music directly to the phone, and the call quality could be better

The Samsung Intensity II is a good midrange phone for teens, thanks to its various social networking and communications tools. While there are some drawbacks, the moderate price is a draw.

Samsung Intensity II SCH-U460 (Verizon Wireless)

The original Samsung Intensity SCH-U450 ($0-$199, ) was a hit. It offered a clean design, a usable keyboard, and just enough power for messaging fiends at a bargain price. The Intensity II SCH-U460 ($49.99-$319.99) includes a few improvements here and...

Improved screen resolution. Comfortable keyboard. Solid GPS navigation and social media apps. Good battery life

No 3G. Poor camera. Quiet speakerphone

The Intensity II isn't a powerhouse Internet phone, but it's a solid budget option for frequent texters and social networking mavens.

Messaging phone for teens with an eco-friendly angle

The Samsung Intensity II is very similar to its predecessor, critics say. The phone has its faults, but CNET's Jessica Dolcourt says it's a "good midrange phone" and notes that its affordability compensates for its shortcomings. The Samsung...

Built with recycled components, does not require Verizon's monthly data plan, affordable

No 3.5 mm jack, slow downloads, poor call quality

Samsung Intensity II- An Eco-QWERTY Phone for Text Addicts

The Samsung Intensity II is an eco-QWERTY phone that is crafted especially for text addicts. The pocket-friendly and text-friendly device owes a lot to the original Intensity, but, on many fronts, it stands apart from other releases. Let’s see how in...

Samsung Intensity II Review

When Samsung introduced the original Intensity U450 last year, we weren't too impressed by its features, or lack thereof, but it did help fill a gap in Verizon's line-up for an inexpensive messaging phone with full sliding QWERTY keyboard. Since then,...

Samsung Intensity II

The Samsung Intensity II is a prepaid cell phone that provides several strong features. We loved the device's eco-friendly design and its two separate keyboards. It is a little bigger and bulkier than we would have liked, but with its included design...

The Samsung Intensity II has an eco-friendly design and slide-out QWERTY keypad

The phone's camera only has 1.3MP (megapixels), and the Intensity II lacks a top-of-the-line operating system

This prepaid cell phone offers basic calling features with a few added benefits.

"Avoid this phone like the plague."

People talk about how the Samsung Intensity II is an excellent basic phone for your teenage kid. I'm a tech-savvy thirteen year old guy and I have to say, I would prefer my big old flip phone made for seniors any day. Currently I'm on my fourth...

Appealing look, cheap, bright display, good keyboard, good zoom on saved pictures, fancy looking paperweight, great at making you want to take a big rock and pound the **** out of it.

Lagging, lack of photo editing software, dropping calls, weak screen, back panel and battery pop off and go flying when dropped, easy to drop, contact bugs, battery life, rebooting, awful camera (1.3 MP), bad speaker, cheap construction.

Consumer review by:

"It's really just a terrible phone."

It shuts off during calls, dials random people, the memory card is only read maybe HALF the time if at all, and sometimes it decides not to turn on. I never dropped it, and within the first 6 months of having this phone, I slid it open to the keyboard,...

It's cheap.

Save yourself the frustration and go for another phone. Pretty much any phone is better than this one. It's cheap, tacky, and doesn't work well at all. I took excruciatingly good care of this phone, and it still doesn't serve its purpose.

"very average phone, good for teens"

it is good phone for teens, if you get it dont bother using the music player.

Looks attractive, the battery life is pretty good, and it does all basic things.

No video camera!
