Samsung M110

Samsung's M110 keeps the promises it makes, though there aren't so many of those. Dust and minor water resistance will appeal to those exposed to the elements, but its lack of features will turn the rest of us away.

Sturdy rugged design, Dust and water resistant, Photo light doubles as a flashlight

Feature poor, Low quality VGA camera

Samsung M110

Tough and reliable

Dust and water resistant (meeting IEC standards), rubberised design, excellent call quality, flashlight, Bluetooth, FM radio

Mediocre display, poor tactility on keypad and controls, basic list of features

The M110’s list of features is as basic as they come. However, this isn’t too much of an issue for a handset aimed at tradespeople. This is a phone that will take a beating and provide excellent call quality in the process.

Samsung Solid SGH-M110

Specialist companies aren't the only purveyors of rugged handsets and to prove the point Samsung's hoping to appeal to the outdoorsy types.

Samsung Solid SGH-M110 review

A tough and robust mobile offering from Samsung

Dust, water and shock resistant ; Solid but light feel ; Simple, straightforward controls

Basic set of features ; Basic VGA camera ; Chunky build ; Small display

This is certainly a robust phone, but the very basic feature set will put many off

Samsung M110 Solid

Samsung Solid is a mobile phone originally called SGH-M110. It is the first handset that Samsung has called 'ultra durable.' The mobile phone is placed in a rubber casing that allows it to be water proof and dust proof. It weighs about 130 grams and...

Samsung M110

Tough and reliable

Harmon/kardon speakers, media card reader, remote control

Not a Core 2 Duo CPU, 512MB of RAM only

The Toshiba Satellite M110 is not likely to turn heads for its performance, but it's an affordable notebook with enough power to satisfy most people. The bonus features of the Satellite range make it a versatile unit that will handle a number of tasks....

Samsung - Solid SGH-M110

Samsung's Solid is the company's first foray into the ruggedised phone sector. The Solid is pitched at outdoorsy consumers, though there is no reason why it shouldn't also appeal to builders, plumbers and others who seem ...

The Samsung Solid is a long way from the cutting edge in features terms, and is probably best suited to use as a second mobile for those challenging outdoor activities, rather than your main phone. Those fancying it as an everyday phone will have to...

Samsung M110

Like Crocodile Dundee, the M110 would be great in the bush but not so well-suited to city living. The M110 will suit those who are bound to get the phone dirty, but its rugged exterior doesn't exactly protect a wealth of valuable technology.

Feature poor, Low quality VGA camera

Samsung Solid SGH-M110

When something claims to be tough our first reaction tends to be "we'll see about that." Samsung's Solid makes much of its strong points - that is, that it's capable of withstanding a bit of bashing and splashing that would floor less macho mobiles
