Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Review

Despite receiving heavy criticism for its overwhelming size, Samsung managed to make this niche segment wildly popular, not to mention highly profitable. Everyone has a 5-inch and above handset today but they exist mostly due to pressure from the...

The features of S Pen have been updated heavily and there are plenty of new gestures available. Some of the important ones are best demonstrated in the video below. Apart from the usual suite of apps that were present in the Galaxy S4, Samsung also...

Review Samsung Galaxy Note 3 SM-N9005 Smartphone

The third time is the charm? The newest addition to Samsung's successful Galaxy Note series comes with a huge 5.7-inch display - fitting, given the current trend toward ever-larger smartphone screen sizes. But is this beast truly a sight to behold or...

Phenomenal battery life ; Full HD Super AMOLED display ; Extreme performance levels ; USB 3.0 port ; Camera quality ; Capable of QFHD video playback ; User-exchangeable battery ; User-expandable internal storage (micro SD) ; S-Pen functionality

Rather expensive ; Some SD cards incompatible

Such battery runtimes, despite the huge Full HD display and extremely fast hardware: Approximately 18 hours during our Wi-Fi test will be hard to match

Samsung Galaxy Note 3 vs. Nokia Lumia 1520: Bigger, better, faster

We venture again into the realm of phablets, one that at the beginning seemed to promise little more than a short burst of action, has become the scene of some of the most thrilling battles this industry has seen. The showdown we're about to witness...

We've done our fair share of head-to-head articles this year, but there's no better way of completing it than by seeing the two most powerful phablet beasts stand against each other. It's the Sherlock Holmes against Professor Moriarty of the mobile...

Samsung Galaxy Note 3 (Sprint)

Samsung's Galaxy Note 3 packs robust pen and multitasking software in a sleek, speedy, long-lasting device with a brilliant display.

Improved design; Excellent S Pen and multitasking software; Best-in-class performance; Brilliant display; Long-lasting battery

No Spark compatibility; Small LTE network

There are a lot of large smartphones on the market, but none takes advantage of its sprawling display the way the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 does. Between the built-in stylus and all of the apps it can be used with, the Note 3 is the most versatile phablet...

Samsung Galaxy Note 3 review: Big, fast and feature-packed, but pricey

The Galaxy Note 3 is a clear step up from its predecessor, with a larger screen in a smaller, thinner, lighter chassis, plenty of usability enhancements, plus impressive performance and battery life. The price tag is the only serious drawback.

Superb 5.7-inch sAMOLED screen ; Good S Pen stylus functionality ; LTE mobile broadband ; 802.11ac Wi-Fi ; 2.3GHz quad-core SoC ; Good battery life

Large ; Potentially confusing array of UI enhancements and software extras ; Cheesy faux-leather backplate ; Expensive

Samsung Galaxy Note 3 (Verizon Wireless)

Samsung refines its top-tier phablet with the 5.7-inch Galaxy Note 3, a powerful, full HD phone/tablet combo that may be the only mobile device you need.

Massive, stunning 1080p display. Lighter and faster than before. Dizzying array of software enhancements, some of which are genuinely useful

Like all phablets, it's huge. Dizzying array of software enhancements, some of which are dubious

Now in its third iteration, the Galaxy Note line continues to prove skeptics wrong—people just can't get enough of these supersized smartphones. The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 on Verizon Wireless ($299.99 with two-year contract) picks up right where its...

Samsung Galaxy Note 3 (Verizon)

With its big and bright display, long battery life and improved pen input capability, the Note 3 is the phablet to beat.

Strong battery life; Gorgeous full-HD screen; Sharp camera; Useful pen apps; Powerful performance

Not one-hand-friendly; Aggressive crapware; Inconsistent LTE performance

With its nearly 10 hours of battery life, big and bright screen, sharp camera and powerful software, the Galaxy Note 3 is the ultimate high-end smartphone. Consumers looking for a smaller device on Verizon should consider the 5-inch Galaxy S4, 4.7-inch...

Samsung Galaxy Note 3 review

Samsung essentially created the market for the in-between smartphone — a device that could ostensibly take the place of both a smartphone and a tablet — with its wildly popular Galaxy Note lineup. (The Korean phone-maker recently boasted that it has...

Great performance ; Long battery life ; Improved look and feel

Still too big for many people ; Improved S Pen software still lacks many logical features ; TouchWiz is an acquired taste

Samsung didn’t reinvent the wheel here, it just gave it a smoother ride

Samsung Galaxy Note 3

The new $299.99 Galaxy Note 3 is a tour de force in juggernaut handset design. Not only is it big, bold, and blazingly fast, the imposing device has an incredibly sharp 5.7-inch display, and battery life to go the distance. More importantly, the Note 3...

The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 has a gorgeous and massive screen, screaming quad-core processor, and refined S Pen skills. It also has long battery life, makes clear calls, and takes great pictures.

The Note 3 is expensive, large, and its faux-leather styling is crafted from cheap plastic.

Though its plastic skin doesn't do its high price justice, Samsung's Galaxy Note 3 makes the most compelling case yet for a supersize phone.

Samsung Galaxy Note 3 review

When Samsung first launched the original Galaxy Note in 2011, many analysts and reviewers decried the device's 5.3-inch screen as too big for the average person's hand, and tried to explain away “phablets” were just a phase (we did this, too).

Great battery life ; Excellent screen ; Top-notch specs and performance ; More premium look and feel than previous Notes ; Runs Android 4.3, the newest version

S Pen still doesn’t feel like a must-have feature ; Abundance of added features will be overwhelming for many ; Poor speaker placement

With industry-leading specs, a great screen, and improved S Pen implementation, plus a nicer exterior, the Note 3 is a very impressive piece of hardware. But it has a mountain of features that can be overwhelming, even for Android veterans.
