Samsung S5600 preview: First look

Samsung have quite wisely decided to make the complacent LG Cookie smile go away. And they have released not one, but two devices to compete with it. The Samsung S5600 is one of them and luckily...

Attacking the midrange market the Samsung S5600 is a member of the new affordable touchscreen gang. Quite reminiscent of the HTC Touch with its size, shape and display, the Samsung S5600 is actually not a smartphone. It run on the proprietary Samsung...

Samsung S5600 Preview

„Whoa, babe, don´t you just dig these shiny large touch-screen phones, oh my, don´t they rock!”We guess this is what Samsung´s lead designer's wife must have said to him all in one breath … and here we go, we are swimming in these. Coming in all...

Worth the try

I am a fan of Samsung phones. I think they are really cool and user-friendly. This Samsung S5600 is one of Samsung's worthy devices.

Samsung Blade S5600v

The Samsung Blade GT-S5600V is a entry level toushcreen phone

Attractive design; Touchscreen user interface; HSDPA high speed 3G; Decent quality music player; Affordable price; 3.2-megapixel camera

No Wi-Fi; No GPS; Camera lacks autofocus; Texting layout could be better; and no Qwerty option; No smartphone OS

The Samsung Blade GT-S5600V is initially available free on Vodafone contract deals, and is available in its non-Vodafone S5600 guise for free on Orange contract deals or for around £120 in pay as you go packages

Samsung S5600 review

The Samsung S5600 lacks the GPS and Wi-Fi functionality of pricier phones, but it still manages to offer a decent array of features and a very usable interface for not too many pennies

Good range of features for the money ; Straightforward interface ; Decent resistive touchscreen

No GPS ; Poor camera ; Lacks Wi-Fi

Conclusion The Samsung S5600 can't compete with the likes of the iPhone or the Hero, but one look at its price tag will tell you that it's not aimed at the same market. Instead, it seeks to offer a decent touchscreen experience at a rock-bottom price....

Samsung S5600

With it's easy to use interface and good line up of features, the Samsung S5600 offers a good touch-screen experience at a low price point.

The S5600 doesn't exactly break any new ground, but it does cover most of the bases nicely and at a reasonable price. As a result we think those looking for a simple, low cost, touchscreen phone should definitely check it out.

Samsung GT-S5600v Mobile Phone – Review

Thanks to Apple, touchscreens are all the rage on mobile phones; even so, they're still uncommon in models that cost

Samsung GT-S5600W

Mobile phone

Samsung seems to be making something of a specialty out of iPhone-lite type smartphones and the S5600V is the latest in this line - it even looks like an iPhone knock-off. With a 71mm capacitive touchscreen and 3G connectivity for $399 you can't really...
