Samsung SGH-a737

This fashionable budget slider has decent 3G speeds and a good music player, but call quality could be better.

Fast 3G, Slim form factor, Dedicated music buttons

Lackluster camera, Mediocre call quality

AT&T's Cellular Video service worked well on the a737, even in EDGE-only areas. Clips loaded in 15 seconds with 3G network coverage, a bit slow but smooth when played back, and voices synced well with audio. However, such services cost a bit more:...

Samsung SGH-A737 (blue, AT&T)

Samsung has fallen in love with the thin slider phone, and the last couple years we've seen quite a few examples pass through our hands. Some of the models have been rather unremarkable--indeed the most recent handset we reviewed, the Samsung SGH-T429,...

The Samsung SGH-A737 has an attractive, comfortable design with easy-to-use navigation controls and a lovely display. It also offers a full range of features

The Samsung SGH-A737 had varying volume during voice calls, and its 3G connection was poky. Also, photo quality was poor and the camera doesn't offer a flash

Though it could make better calls and its connection speed was somewhat slow, the Samsung SGH-A737 is a well-designed and full-featured multimedia cell phone.

Samsung SGH-A737

The Samsung SGH-A737 is one of those cell phones that looks like a basic phone, but in this petite package is a ton of multimedia functionality. Since it supports the latest in high-speed 3G data networks (HSPA), you can watch streaming video, listen...

Review: Samsung SGH-A737

Samsung's SGH-A737 for AT&T is a solidly built and relatively inexpensive 3G slider cell phone. Mike DeWane tests it out and likes it in general, though he takes exception with a few small details. Read more in our review.

this phone is very very durable. the one i have is actuallt a hand-me-down and it works perfectly fine. the funny thing is, my sister had this phone previously and she dropped it in the water at the beach and a wave washed it up and it was so sandy but...

Samsung SGH-A737

A lightweight phone that is barely over three ounces, the Samsung SGH-A737 utilizes the popular slide form factor design. The stereo Bluetooth makes the phone functional for business use as well as personal. While the camera is pretty much standard, it...

No complicated processes to use the functions ; Priced moderately, which is great for the budget ; A display screen that is really remarkable ; Good signal strength

Battery life could be better ; Charger ports are not standardized, which can be a problem ; Some issues with the sound quality during calls

The Samsung A737 has lived up to the Samsung reputation by offering a very attractive display screen, with excellent graphics and attractive animations. Out in the sun, or even in direct view of fluorescent light, the display can be a little difficult...

Ok phone, not special

Has speakerphone, so you can talk and hear while you are eating or writing. Samsung phones are very reliable and do not break easily

The volume is not good enough. Also, the font is too small to read the menus and contacts

Samsung SGH-A737 - blue (AT&T)

Considering that the phone is very inexpensive with a 3-year plan, I can't complain about things lacking such as a good camera, flash, social networking, etc. What its supposed to do, it does pretty well.

Nice compact size, durable, decent feature set for such a cheap phone

Reception isn't the greatest, OS limitations

Good phone, does what I thought it would

Rather than a 1 week or 1 month assessment, I've had the phone for two years, so I feel qualified to comment. I'm guessing it's out of production by now, so a review at this point is probably moot, but this has been a solid dependable phone for me. As...

Dependable, easy to use

No major flaws that I've noted in two years of use
