Samsung D840

It's an unfortunate fact of life that there's usually little to get worked up about Samsung phones. The Samsung D840 seems to be a rather unnecessary clone of the D900 – it manages to look like its predecessor in many respects. The phone is slightly...

To sum up, the phone really doesn't excite me. Right from form factor to features, there is nothing that will give you pride of ownership. It costs Rs 10,100 with bill and warranty, and while this isn't very expensive, you get plenty of other good...

Which is it? Quad or Tri Band?

This ad has conflicting information. It says 850/900/1800/1900 in the beginning of the ad, but in the description, it says tri-band. If it's missing the 850, it won't work in most of the US with AT&T.

Samsung SGH-D840 mobile phone review

It looks amazing" was what the PR man on behalf of Samsung wanted us to say, and compared to other Ultra Edition models we would have to agree. The D840 is the company's pseudo fashion looking phone. Opting for, the now fashionable again silver, the...

Slim, easy to use, great slider mechanism, 2 megapixel camera

Not that fashion focused, Mrs Pocket-lint didn't seem that bothered by the design

A strong competent model, but the "It looks amazing" comment is stretching it a touch too far

Product Specifications

The Ultra Edition D840 is an ultra slim slide-up that excels in design, simplicity, portability and performance. A marvel to look at and a pleasure to use, this Samsung mobile is in a class all by itself.
