Samsung SGH-T259 (blue, T-Mobile)

Every carrier needs a good flip phone on its roster, and for T-Mobile, the Samsung T259 fits the bill. This 3G world phone resembles its clamshell cousins on other carriers, like the Samsung Contour and the Samsung SPH-M360, but with an edgier, sharper...

The Samsung T259 has strong call and speakerphone quality, e-mail access, and room for 32GB expandable memory

We're not fans of the Samsung T259's squared-off edges, or the shared headphone and charger jack

The Samsung T259's intuitive design, excellent call quality, and affordable price make it a good choice for someone in search of a simple handset.

Samsung SGH-T259 (T-Mobile)

There are a number of navigation buttons on the phone, including two programmable shortcut keys, as well as shortcuts for each direction on the directional navigation pad while on the home screen. The numeric keypad is spacious, and the keys are easy...

Great call quality. Easy to use. Decent feature set. Inexpensive

Nonstandard headphone jack. Not the best camera

The Samsung SGH-T259 is the best choice for T-Mobile subscribers looking for a simple voice phone.

Samsung SGH-T259 Cell Phone Review–Fantastic Value

One of the newer phones to land out at T-Mobile is a Samsung with an unwieldy name, the SGH-T259. And though its name might be a bit of a mouthful, it happens to be attached to a pretty nice phone.

Decent array of features ; Great price

Poor battery life ; Unusual charger design

The Samsung SGH-T259 is a flip phone that offers speakerphone capability, Bluetooth connectivity, eighty megs of onboard memory, support for pretty much every major instant messaging system (Yahoo Instant Messenger, AOL Instant Messenger, Windows Live...

"Good size and screen, nice color, everthing else sucks!"

The Samsung T259 is a nice looking phone with good sized call strength and battery, etc. icons, much better than my other pa-as-you-go LG model. I can set it to vibrate AND ring, which is a must for me.

The phone has decent size, slightly raised buttons, fits my hand well and flips open easily, nice blue color, call quality is decent, ring-and-vibrate mode.

Poor battery life for a basic phone, shuts itself off randomly (***??), sometimes gives no bars of service until the phone is powercycled (again, ***??), not really customizable, as other's have mentioned),

"Worse cell phone I've owned"

I'm blown away at CNET's good rating and the other glowing comments. From the start this phone had a problems with my voicemail messages breaking up. Try to get someone's message when the phone audio is breaking up. This happened with the three tmbile...

Looks pretty

Poor quality all the way around

"DO NOT BUY THIS PHONE"

I ACTUALLY BOUGHT THIS PHONE BECAUSE OF CNET'S HIGH RATINGS

LARGE BUTTONS

ONLY ONE FREE RINGTONE

"Poor call quality and missing main features"

I bought this phone (for my mother and me) because of a pretty good report on CNET. It was nice-looking too.

Nice-looking (until you touch it); keyboard

Poor call quality; no charging battery indicator; no new voicemail indicator; no missed calls indicator; flimsy battery cover; weak vibrator
