Samsung U800 Soul b review: As busy as a

Inspiration is one thing you can't deny the Samsung Soul lineup. Well, that goes to the Ultra too, though all of them thin and sexy handsets are pretty much doomed to oblivion by their own offspring. Back in the day, we said the original U900 Soul was...

2.0" 16M-color TFT LCD display of QVGA resolution ; 3G with HSDPA (3.6Mbps) support ; 1GB of onboard memory, microSD expansion ; Nice and responsive D-pad ; Cool brushed metal casing ; Just 9.9mm thickness ; 3 megapixel camera with LED flash ; FM radio...

Tri-band only ; Camera has no auto focus ; Somewhat slow interface response ; Slow first-time access of the microSD card ; Limited browser capabilities ; QCIF video recording at most

might be another option to consider

Samsung Soulb Review

The slider Soul was the founder of the new Samsung series of fashion oriented, multifunctional phones. The second phone carrying the idea of the line is called Soulb and is the object of this review. The device is solid (doesn't open or slide) and...

Samsung Soul Review

Beautiful design, User-friendly, quality music player, Very good picture quality outdoors and in macro mode

Half of the navigation buttons require pressing, and the rest do not, Average sound quality

The big question is „Is it worth buying a new soul? It is irrelevant whether you’ve already sold yours to the devil or haven't, because we cannot give you a definite answer. The truth is that we expected much more from the company’s new line top model....

An understated mobile phone for the masses

Stylish design ; Slimline metal casing ; HSDPA ; 1GB internal memory ; Great music player ; Earphones supplied with 3.5mm headphone adapter ; 3-megapixel camera ; Good battery life ; FM radio

Camera lacks autofocus and has ordinary LED flash ; Average quality earphones supplied ; Display could be larger ; Poor quality video capture

Samsung Soul mobile phone - First Look review

Touchscreen d-pad, 5 megapixel camera, HSDPA connectivity

No Wi-Fi, touchscreen design won't be everyone's cup of tea

In our brief First Look the sound was very impressive, as were the features considering the size of the unit. It might lack Wi-Fi and a GPS unit, but it was certainly smaller than the Nokia N95 for instance. Samsung say it has high hopes for the Soul...

Samsung U800 review

The U800 looks clean and modern, is easy to use and has a good range of features. As well as supporting HSDPA for fast downloads, it has dual cameras with realistic colour reproduction. If you were hankering after a Nokia 6500 Classic, we'd seriously...

Design ; Good battery life ; Excellent range of features

Average music player ; Camera lacks autofocus

Conclusion We're impressed with the U800's blend of stylish good looks, no-nonsense menu system and powerful features, such as the HSDPA support. If you were considering Nokia's 6500 Classic then we'd seriously advise you to look at this Samsung, as it...

Samsung U800 Soul B review -

A stylish handset with decent entertainment and internet features

A rather basic music player and slightly clunky messaging menu

Product Specifications

The soul is reincarnated with this version of the very popular design. Although the Samsung U800 Soul B loses the touch screen in favor of a down to earth navigation ring, the beauty and charm that made the Soul such a hit is back in spades. The exclusively silver design only hints at the charm that lies in the features of this phone. The keys are easy to press and are flanked above by menu navigation buttons. The only extra decoration comes from the brushed steel body that gives the phone an air of sophistication. The MicroSD slot can house extra files such as music and pictures. Though there is a Gigabyte of shared memory, the card slot helps you get all the files you want onto the phone without adding extra bulk.3G connectivity is a highlight of the phone¿s connections here. With 3G data transfers are faster than ever and since this is the wireless signal that will soon be the standard. All the phones that don¿t support it are going to be left out.USB and Bluetooth enable you to connect the phone to the computer to transfer files from your collection into the memory card. With Bluetooth you¿ll be able to connect a variety of headsets and talk on the phone without the phone occupying your hands. Finally the 3.15 Megapixel camera provides the kicker to this phone¿s appeal. With video support, and LED flash, and a secondary videocall camera, this phone has you covered in all circumstances.
