Sony Ericsson S500i

The S500i is easily one of the best budget priced handsets on the market, and has all the features you'd expect in a more expensive model, even if none of them are standouts.

It's one of the sexiest handsets around, Easy to use, Excellent call quality, Music player with excellent headphones

No 3G, No 3.5mm headphone input

Sony Ericsson S500i review:

Sony Ericsson is known for its elegant and beautifully designed phones, and the S500i is no exception. Its sleek and sexy slider design sports a unique aesthetic that makes it look like it belongs in a high-end boutique rather than a cell phone store....

The Sony Ericsson S500i is a beautifully designed handset with a slew of multimedia features that include a 2-megapixel camera plus a music player. Performance was great, as well.

The Sony Ericsson S500i has a rather fragile keypad, plus it's on the expensive side.

The Sony Ericsson S500i is a stylish phone with a lot of sex appeal plus a decent feature set, but its high price and iffy controls make it less than desirable.

Sony Ericsson S500i Review

Sony Ericsson refreshes its mobile phones lineup every 2 or 3 months launching new devices on different markets and for different targets. This time, the S500i handset seems to be intended for fashionistas and is available in 2 colors: "Mysterious...

By far, the design of the phone makes up for all the major drawbacks that the slider might have. I believe that manufacturing a fashion phone might prove more difficult than producing a full-feature high-end phone. While lacking some important...

I believe the most "unattractive" flaw that can be found in this slider is the easy to crack keypad. This is a major drawback (see the Nokia N76 case) that might force Sony Ericsson to entirely withdraw all its shipped stocks of S500i handsets or start...

Stylish design for those on a budget.

At this price the S500i is reasonable value, but it doesn't boast any outstanding features. Its design should appeal, but the keypad and controls may pose some problems.

Price, ease of use, excellent display, light effect feature, A2DP Bluetooth

Questionable design of controls and keypad, no 3G, proprietary headphone jack

Sony Ericsson S500i review

A sliderphone that knows how to attract attention

Novel colour and lighting combinations ; Swappable M2 card memory expansion option ; Good value for money features

No 3G ; Camera lacks autofocus and flash ; Plastic cover a bit squeaky

An attractive choice for the style-conscious, but leaves a bit to be desired in terms of features

Sony Ericsson S500i

Sony Ericsson is obviously taking a lot of pride in designing their phones to look and feel really flashy. The S500i is no exception at all. It may look like a simple slider phone at first glance, but believe me when I say it looks nothing like that...

The S500i is actually a really good phone for a street price of around Rs. 10,500. But the biggest problem is you’re going to have to charge the darn battery at least two times each day. Yes it really is that bad. I can’t attribute it to being a faulty...

Sony Ericsson S500i review

Sony Ericsson has answered the call of nature and designed its latest fashion slider, the S500i, around flora and fauna

The S500i isn’t a natural born fashion phone and fails miserably at stealing the limelight from catwalk kings like the LG Shine
