Sony Ericsson W302 Review

Some of you may find themselves wondering as to why we have decided to review such a simple make, given it´s pretty clear it can be described with but two words “It´ll do”. Well, we´ve got two major reasons to be interested in it. First off, it looks...

Sony Ericsson W302 Preview

In order to make the middle and entry level models more attractive, sometimes, the manufacturers apply a simple trick – they use the design of a high-class phone and trim off the hardware features. That's the case with the new Sony Ericsson Walkman,...

The Sony Ericsson W302 is a back-to-basics Walkman phone that takes all of the features from the original W800 and puts them in a more compact package.

Sony Ericsson W302 review

A cheap and cheerful phone for those who prefer tunes to tech

Walkman music player ; Slim casing ; 2 megapixel camera ; 3.5mm headphone jack adaptor ; Good battery life

No 3G, Wi-Fi or GPS ; Limited internal storage

Minus the bells and whistles, but still does a good job of sounding good

Sony Ericsson W302 Walkman

The Sony Ericsson W302 Walkman delivers good sound quality in a neat design for a low price. For those who want a decent, inexpensive phone that plays music, it's a good choice, but don't bother with the poor camera and web browser.

Great sound quality ; Included FM radio ; Very light ; Trim design

Proprietary headphone jack ; Clumsy music-transfer software ; Jaggy video ; Shoddy web browser

We'd like better music-transfer software and a standard headphone jack, but we're willing to forgive these failings in a budget-level handset, especially because it includes a headphone adapter and a new Sony Ericsson media manager is on its way....

Sony Ericsson W302

Aimed more at the budget end of the market, the Sony Ericsson W302 handset is both lightweight and small in size.

My recent mobile phone companion has been a review sample of the Sony Ericsson W302 handset. Aimed more towards the budget end of the market, this mobile phone is of the candy bar variety. Decked out in midnight black (I believe there is also a white...
