Sony Ericsson W810

Sony calls on its Walkman roots to create this impressive cell phone/music player hybrid.

Works very well as a music player, Includes a 2-megapixel camera

Can be uncomfortable to use as a phone

Sony Ericsson W810 Cell Phone (GSM, Bluetooth, 2MP, 20MB, Memory Stick PRO)

While it's no iPod, Sony Ericsson's W810 does a more-than-adequate job as both a cell phone and a multimedia player.

Works very well as a music player ; Includes a 2-megapixel camera

Can be uncomfortable to use as a phone

Sony draws on its Walkman roots to create this impressive cell phone/music player hybrid device.

Sony Ericsson W810 review: Walkman on the EDGE

A few months after launching its new W810 model, Sony Ericsson delivered it to our office. This black twin of the famous W800 model features EDGE and the main menu has undergone slight modifications. All other applications have remained untouched. The...

Black design does not catch your eyes in the way W800 did. I myself perceive the new W810 as a sport model rather than a fashion freak. My impression is probably caused by the tiny orange and silver elements, incrusted in the body of the phone, I...

Sony Ericsson W810i (AT&T)

The Sony Ericsson W810i is augmented by an attractive design; an improved keypad; great music quality; and a generous range of exceptional features, including Bluetooth, a 2-megapixel camera, an MP3 player, a memory card slot, and a speakerphone.

The Sony Ericsson W810i suffers from staticky call quality and glitchy music transfer software. Also, it lacks a Bluetooth stereo profile, and the integrated memory is limited to 20MB.

Sony Ericsson succeeds again with its third Walkman phone for the U.S. market, but the W810i brings only minor improvements over earlier models.

Sony Ericsson W810i

The W810i is a handsome, easily pocketable candy-bar phone in black with orange highlights. The small, charcoal-gray keys are nearly perfect, with excellent tactile snap and good separation. The 176-by-220 color screen is bright, though the resolution...

Excellent sound quality. 2-megapixel camera. Small and light

Doesn't play DRM'ed files. No speaker-independent voice recognition. No 3G

The Sony Ericsson W810i Walkman is a cute, powerful phone that has no cutting-edge features, but it does many things well.

Sony Ericsson W810

If you're in the market for a cell phone that will keep you busy no matter where you go, strongly consider the Sony Ericsson W810 Walkman phone. It's packed with preloaded game trials, a multitude of music options, and a darn good 2-megapixel camera....

Sony Ericsson W810 Review

Similar to its predecessor, the W810 bets mainly on the multimedia options - the music player and the camera, without leaving behind the business applications such as the pleasant phone book and a fairly good organizer. In relatively small sizes it...

Fast response and browsing of the menu ; Beautiful themes, which give you a great deal of personalization options ; Lots of features in a relatively small size

Not good make of the panel ; Weak sound during calls ; Slow transfer from a computer

Is This the iPod Killer

Probably not, but with Sony Ericsson's new W810i Walkman phone, music lovers don't have to tote both an MP3 player and a cell phone everywhere they go.

Something funny is happening in Europe. While Apple Computer (AAPL) is still selling iPods by the boatload, more and more young people are ditching Apple's offerings in favor of Sony Ericsson's new Walkman phones. "I always carry my phone with me,...

Review: Sony Ericsson W810i Walkman Phone

The W810i is a candy bar-style phone measuring only 3.9 x 1.8 x 0.8 inches and weighing in at 3.5 ounces. We love its sleek black styling and its generous cool factor; it feel like a phone for night-clubbers who know the best undiscovered places

A press representative told us that the phone would likely be offered by a major US GSM network this fall, and would probably sell for between $149 and $199 with a service commitment. If you can wait, that would be a great deal on a music-playing phone...
