Still in the review-phase.

With the upcoming PS-suite to be released, one can only sit, wait and hope that gamers will not be let down(as was the 1st Gen Nint. Wii). As gaming is the main concern with this phone, let's hope Sony doesn't keep anything in and release this phone's ultimate use with the PS-suite.

excellent

I think this is brilliant because now i don't have to look like a kid carrying my PSP GO about with me, this phone is like 2 birds with 1 stone and i have loads of ps1 classics for my PSP GO and I am sure they will work on it I just have'nt tryed yet, I am sure it will connect to my Playstation 3 but the battery is not brilliant, they need to creat a new battery with twice as much storage.

pretty good phone

I do everything on this phone. One of the few probs with this phone is that it stutters a little when I am texting. I have had a Droid and a Droid X and the xperia play does a few things better than those that I have had.

best phone for gamers

The phone is perfect for gamers, the games have good graphics and the controls are good. But also for other matters is also handy to have the internet you may very well in watch and it is great for social networks suitable. The camera is not the best but I'm surpised that she still shoots excellent photos. I find if you play like it's the best cell phone buy what you can.

Xperia Play Review

Xperia Play Review - this complete review of the Xperia Play smartphone goes over its gaming capabilities and titles, but also its smartphone abilities.

Today, the smartphones in our pockets aren’t mere cellphones. They're powerful portable computers that are capable of multitasking and functioning as an all-in-one device, whether that includes a little or a lot of calling, Web browsing, playing...

Sony Ericsson Xperia Play - Revolutionizing Mobile Gaming?

Mobile gaming is a big part of the smartphone agenda, or even the lower end segment. The Xperia Play was all set to revolutionize the mobile gaming industry and I was looking forward to it doing so. But I'm sure after the preview; most of you are...

The Price tag on the Xperia Play is Rs. 35,000 (MRP) with a Market Operating Price of about Rs. 32,000 (depending on your location). It’s a tad expensive even for its USP. The weight and bulk of the handset could be a make or break decision for some...

Sony Ericsson Xperia Play 4G (AT&T)

Editors' note: For this review, we focused on the performance differences between AT&T's phone and the Verizon model. For a full analysis of the Xperia Play's design and features, check out our review of Verizon's Xperia Play .

The Sony Ericsson Xperia Play 4G integrates phone and gaming features like no other handset before it. It offers all the essential smartphone features, and call quality is respectable.

Some of the Sony Ericsson Xperia Play 4G's gaming controls are unresponsive. It lacks an HDMI-out port, photo quality is poor, and data speeds are unimpressive.

AT&T's Sony Ericsson Xperia Play 4G is ideal for gamers, but we'd prefer to see more-accurate controls, a few more features, and a faster data network.

Sony Ericsson Xperia Play 4G (AT&T)

Four months after making its U.S. debut on Verizon Wireless, the Sony Ericsson Xperia Play 4G is now available on AT&T. Not much has changed. In fact, it's nearly the same exact smartphone. But on AT&T it's sporting a bargain bin $49.99 price, a free...

Fantastic gamepad. Good ‘4G’ speeds. Comes with multimedia dock. Inexpensive

Doesn't play PlayStation games. Big and bulky

The Sony Ericsson Xperia Play 4G is an excellent phone for gaming, and a solid phone in its own right; just make sure it has games you want to play.

Xperia Play 4G Review: Mobile Phone Gaming at a Hard-to-Beat Price

To the delight of mobile gamers on AT&T, Sony Ericsson has brought the Xperia Play to the carrier's HSPA+ network. When I reviewed the Xperia Play on Verizon, I praised the phone's physical gamepad--a godsend to people like me who hate using...

Slide-out gamepad ; HSPA+ Connectivity

Sub-par camera ; Small internal memory

The Xperia Play 4G is a great gaming device and phone, with a few quirks that can easily be overlooked.

Sony Ericsson Xperia Play (CDMA) review

Rumors of a “PlayStation phone” — most likely borne of wishful thinking more than anything else, especially early on — have been lingering for almost as long as I've been writing about gadgets and games. So to say the...

Android 2.3 largely untouched ; Gamepad is snappy ; Crash Bandicoot is still addictive

Bulky ; Menu navigation stutters ; PlayStation Suite needs work

Subpar hardware and a games lineup that leaves much to be desired — with no firm support on horizon

Sony Ericsson Xperia Play

What do you get when you breed a portable game console with a smartphone? Sony Ericsson's new Xperia Play — the long-rumored “PlayStation phone” that combines the slide-out gamepad of Sony's PSP Go with all the functionality of a modern Android...

Slide-out game controller ; Clean Android install ; Vibrant 4.0-inch LCD ; Attractive Sony styling ; Acceptable 5.1-megapixel camera

Bulky design ; Controls work with limited game selection ; Touch-based analog controls ; No 4G ; Smudgy screen

Unless the bulk bothers you, the sacrifices made for hard game controls are quite livable, making the Sony Ericsson Xperia Play a worthy consideration for smartphones gamers sick of swiping at glass.

Get Your Game On With Sony's Xperia Play Android ...

Mothers, lock up your gamers. The PlayStation phone has arrived. And while it's a bit on the chubby side, we think that, for Sony Ericsson's Xperia Play, big is beautiful.

Unskinned version of Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) makes us happy. Sturdy hardware stands up to a frustrated gamer's kung-fu grip

Lacks 720p video recording capability, now a standard in smartphone releases. Wireless data is slower 3G standard, not 4G. Only one PlayStation title available at launch

Sony Ericsson Xperia PLAY Review – To Play or Not to Play?

The Xperia Play is being touted as the “World's First PlayStation Certified Smartphone”. Does that make it a good phone? Or even a good gaming system? We've been putting the phone through its paces. Sony Ericsson certainly has a great idea of adding a...

As for my own personal opinion, I think this phone is like a great firework: the fun fades a little too quickly. It’s really neat to show off the game pad and let people play around with it, but it feels more gimmicky than an actual mobile gaming...
