Sony Xperia Z3 review: Refined design makes this Sony's most promising smartphone to date

Sony's Xperia Z3 hits all the right notes and delivers powerful performance in a beautiful, sleek design.

The Sony Xperia Z3 packs great battery life, a brilliant display, beautiful design and waterproof features. If you own a PS4, you'll also be able to play PS4 games remotely on your phone.

The UI can use updating -- all the icons just look way too big. While it may have a 20.7-megapixel camera, autofocus can be a little off, but nothing a quick tap on the screen can't fix.

The Sony Xperia Z3 is Sony's most formidable to date with a formidable display and promising features that easily give Android competition from HTC, LG and Samsung a run for their money.

Sony Xperia Z3+ First Impressions

Underdeveloped. The spec sheet of Sony's new premium-range phone has quite a bit to offer. However, it exhibits some shortcomings in practice. For example, our review sample struggled with multiple small and big peculiarities that we did not expect.

Updated interfaces, a swift 64-bit SoC and improved cameras are the pros of Sony's Xperia Z3+. Unfortunately, that will likely affect the battery life, and the build of our review sample was not impeccable, either.
