T-Mobile Prism 2 review: Reliable 3G handset at a bargain

The T-Mobile Prism 2 clocked consistent and fast 3G speeds, it's reasonably priced, and its 3.2-megapixel camera takes decent pictures.

The Prism 2 is slow, with a low-resolution screen and a low call volume, and its camera lacks a flash.

Get the T-Mobile Prism 2 if you want an inexpensive and dependable 3G phone, but skip it if you prioritize speedy performance.

T-Mobile Prism ( grey)

Manufactured by Huawei and distributed by T-Mobile, the Prism is an inexpensive solution to your Android needs. Targeted specifically for first-time smartphone buyers, this handset won't give you the fastest processor or the most gorgeous resolution....

T-Mobile Prism has a competitive price, decent call quality, and solid data speeds.

The Prism's camera quality is poor, the screen has a low resolution, and its processor is sluggish.

If you're looking for your first 3G smartphone, the T-Mobile Prism will deliver basic calling, texting, and Web-browsing requirements all for $20. Just don't expect blazing speeds or great photos.

T-Mobile Prism

The T-Mobile Prism would've been a fine entry-level smartphone a year ago; you can easily do better now.

Good call quality. Comfortable to hold

Sluggish performance. Dated processor. Mediocre camera

The Prism comes with 149MB of free internal memory along with a preinstalled 2GB microSD card; my 32 and 64GB SanDisk cards worked fine as well. There's a standard-size 3.5mm headphone jack on top of the phone, and music sounded fine through both wired...

"Negligence! Uncaring!"

Over the past year or so, I have become very upset with t mobile for several reasons. When I last signed a contract on an electronic pad, the only hard paper the store could give me was my signature and terms about if I don't pay them. I had wanted a...

"Pretty Decent for a budget android"

I have had this phone for about a month. It is by far one of the best budget Androids I've had. It runs Andriod 4.1 Jelly Bean. Which makes it run smoother and a lot better than most of the androids that I've owned. I've had about 3 Samsung Androids, 1...

"ABSOLUTELY AWESOME!!! DEFINITELY WORTH IT !"

Overall, I am not in any way, shape or form considered a technie. I have even stated I am not smart enough for a smartphone. LOL But this phone I am very comfortable with. I would like to be able to customize it more, like get some apps off, but it may...

It comes in the prepaid package so you don't have to sign a contract with T-mobile. The price is wonderful for a smartphone, even a beginner one like this. It has lots of apps available and the screen is bigger than some other starter smartphones.

"DONT DO IT!!!!!"

take it from me t-mobile for three years and hated it.

There are no pros to signing a contract with t-mobile. crappy service mostly every where you go will be edge which is slow as hell. customer service is the worst they will tell what you want hear to get you off the phone.

T-mobile will try and suck in and after they do you will be bullied by them forever.
