Telstra F165 Country Phone

Targeted at those living in rural areas, the Telstra F165 promises excellent reception thanks to a pull-out antenna and a larger design. The handset a...

Durable design; lightweight; good voice quality; loud ringtones; included belt clip

A little expensive, design won't suit all

The F165 Country Phone doesn't really look appealing, but looks can be deceiving. In addition to claiming excellent reception in rural areas, the F165 has a sturdy rubber casing and is lightweight.

Dubbed the "Country Phone" Telstra's F165 sure looks the part. A rugged, rubberised candy-bar form factor with an extendable external antenna masks powerful HSDPA connectivity.

Sturdy design with large keys ; Extendable antenna ; HSDPA

Enormous handset by today's standards ; Terrible Web browser ; Five hours to recharge battery

The F165 is a phone on a mission and it achieves this. Rugged and easy to use with excellent reception for regional areas. HSDPA helps provide a decent mobile TV experience.

I think that Masterchef should be removed from the tv, its the biggest pile of rubbish. How dumb is the TV audience today. Then you have X Factor, Home and Away and tuns of other rubbish TV shows to appeal to the 15 year old mind of the 25 plus age...

Yep it works in some places where the others don't. And to be honest mine has been 100% reliable, but I don't like it.

This is a joke. The build quality is very poor, the rubber peels off very quickly. The expandable aerial is really funny feature in 2010. The car kit is ULTIMATE CRAP - the little lead you need to plug in each time you start to use it is so annoying....

Coverage not too bad. You don't cry when you loose it

everything else
