Review Sony Xperia Z Ultra Smartphone

Ultra-huge. 6.4-inches, Full HD resolution and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800. These are the impressive specs for the combination of a smartphone and a tablet. We are not concerned that the Xperia Ultra Z is not powerful enough to handle all upcoming tasks...

High performance; Bright display; Thickness of the device; Build quality; Port variety; Expandable storage

Price; Operation with one hand can be difficult; Black value is too high; Non-removable battery

The huge display is perfect for multimedia applications and web browsing.

Sony Xperia Z Ultra Review

The ever blurring line between smartphones and tablets just got thinner when Sony introduced the Xperia Z Ultra. At 6.4-inches, it's the largest handset to hit the Indian market and just so happens to be the most expensive. While bigger is not always...

Media The Walkman music player is very similar to the ones we’ve seen in the past and so is the video player. Audio quality is good through headphones, but the speaker volume is quite weak and not very loud. According to Sony, certain compromises had...

Sony Xperia Z Ultra (Unlocked)

The well-built, beautiful Sony Xperia Z Ultra is the biggest, baddest Android smartphone you'll find, but at 6.4 inches, it takes things to such a ridiculous extreme that we're not even sure it actually qualifies as a phone.

Big, beautiful 1080p display. Slim, refined design. Fast Snapdragon 800 processor. Incredible battery life. Waterproof

Enormous. Really, it's too big. Average camera. No multitasking

Picking up the 6.44-inch Sony Xperia Z Ultra, I don't know whether to laugh or cry. I'm convinced that no mere mortal could wield this beast as their actual phone. At the same time, it's hard not to get sucked in by the superb 1080p display, blazing...

Beautiful display ; Sleek, gorgeous design ; Waterproof ; Powerful performance

Awkward to hold ; No camera flash ; Battery life is decent, but doesn't live up to expectations

The Z Ultra is a powerful phone with a great display, but your purchase decision will ultimately depend on the price and how well the phone fits in your hand.

Sony Xperia Z Ultra hands-on: First look

Sony just dropped a real bomb on the phablet market - a 6.4" monster that threatens to flatten the competition. The Sony Xperia Z Ultra the first officially announced device to be powered by Snapdragon 800 and it's also the thinnest device with a 1080p...

Sony Xperia Z Ultra and Z Ultra Google Play Edition review

Sony Xperia Z Ultra Review

The Xperia Z Ultra is Sony's first foray in the so-called “phablet” realm, and it comes with a bang. It's the phone with the largest screen ever concocted, while still being called a handset... of sorts. At a 6.4” diagonal, some might argue that the...

Vast and quality screen with pen/pencil input ; Thinnest waterproof design ; Record fast chipset

Larger than other 6-inchers, uncomfortable to hold and carry ; Camera lacks flash, could be better quality ; Relatively weak and hollow earpiece sound

Sony's first phablet leans farthest to the tablet side of that made-up word than any competitor out there. If you aren't worried about pocketability or one-handed operation, you won't be disappointed by the rest. The Xperia Z Ultra is an engineering...

Sony Xperia Z Ultra review (video)

The Sony Xperia Z Ultra is a pretty neat phone, though it may be too big for some, coming in at 6.4-inches. Does it meet up to expectations, though? Find out in our review!

A price for the Xperia Z Ultra in the U.S. hasn’t been revealed just yet, but it does sell for a whopping £800 over on Amazon U.K. Convert that to USD and you’ve got one of the most expensive phones ever. In reality, the American price should actually...

Sony Xperia Z Ultra review

Is it a tablet? Is it a phone? Really... do you care?

Great screen ; Strong battery

High price ; Awful camera

The Xperia Z Ultra is one of those devices that makes you gasp. Partly because of its beautiful design and partly because its specs are so great. It's a phablet, but Sony wants you to also remember it's a phone.

Sony Xperia Z Ultra review

When is a phone a tablet or a tablet a phone? It is a question that is continuing to perplex as we see more and more companies releasing giant devices that look too big to be a phone, but too small to be a tablet. The Sony Xperia Z Ultra is a prime...

Great display, Snapdragon 800 processor, good battery life, slim design is really impressive, waterproofing

Too big, sharp angular design, no flash, camera so-so

The Sony Xperia Z Ultra is a lovely thing, but as a dedicated phone - if you like to lift a phone to your ear as you should - then it's just too big to be practical. We can't help but see it as more of miniature tablet.
