HTC One mini Review

Building a mini version of your popular flagship handset seems to be the in-thing among Tier 1 smartphone makers and once again, we have Samsung to thank (or resent) for this. If memory serves us correctly, the S3 mini really kick-started this craze...

The One mini is powered by a dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 (MSM8230AB) which is the same one used in the Galaxy S4 mini. However, HTC has scaled down its maximum frequency to 1.4GHz. It’s not the most powerful SoC in that price range but it gets the...

Review HTC One Mini Smartphone

The agony of choice. The small version of the HTC One is the manu

Bright display; Good processing; High-grade material; Stereo loudspeakers

Non-interchangeable battery; Memory expansion via SD card not possible; Only 1GB RAM; High buying price; Faint display of self-taken photographs

HTC managed to fit in a 4.3-inch display, which has a higher resolution than that of the Galaxy S4 Mini. The higher pixel density surely is a purchase argument.

HTC One Mini review

Despite the rise of massive smartphone/tablet hybrids like Sony's Xperia Z Ultra and Samsung's Galaxy Mega, not everyone is clamoring for a large screen. If they were, Apple wouldn't be sticking to the 4-inch form factor with the 5S and 5C, and Samsung...

Nice-looking screen ; Great build quality like the HTC One ; More comfortable to hold than larger-screen phones ; Great low-light camera

Poor battery life (can’t last a day) ; Gets warm when gaming and streaming video ; Speakers aren’t nearly as impressive as HTC One’s ; No expandable storage or removable battery

The HTC One Mini is a good-looking, very comfortable, mid-range phone with a nice screen. But short battery life means most should just pay an extra $100 for the HTC One.

HTC One Mini

The HTC One Mini has everything it should to bear the chic HTC One name: a gorgeously crafted hardware and software design, with solid performance chops to match.

HTC's One Mini has a striking design, Android 4.2.2, terrific external speakers, and a strong midtier feature set.

The diet version of the One has 16GB of internal storage with no option to expand, and lacks NFC.

Even with its scaled-down specs, the HTC One Mini is a go-to performer with style to match.

HTC One Mini (AT&T)

HTC's One Mini delivers great sound, a bright display and a good low-light camera in a sleek design.

Premium aluminum design; Beautiful display; Exceptional speakers; Fast camera good in low light

Below-average battery life; Not fastest phone in class; Too many AT&T apps

The HTC One Mini is a sexy smartphone that combines a gorgeous 4.3-inch display and powerful front-mounted speakers in a one-hand-friendly package. At $99, the aluminum-clad Mini is $100 cheaper than its bigger brother, but that cost savings comes at...

HTC One Mini (AT&T)

The AT&T HTC One Mini stuffs plenty of features into a compact design with a nice price, but its reception isn't up to snuff.

Very easy to use with a single hand. Nicely crafted. Sharp, responsive screen. Good camera

Lower-end processor. Middling reception. No memory card slot or removable battery. Heavy Android skin might not suit everyone's taste

If today's supersized smartphones are too much for you to handle, the HTC One Mini ($99.99) may be your salvation. It's a smaller phone like the competing Moto X, but still plenty roomy and powerful for the price. The thing about this size phone is...

HTC One mini vs Samsung Galaxy S4 mini: Young guns

Yes, you can call it Round 2 but we don't think it'll be up to the minis to sort out any unfinished business between the flagships. What we do know though is that taking the dispute to the junior league doesn't mean there'll be less pain in losing and...

It's the beginning of what hopefully will become a trend - squeezing flagship specs into a compact package. These two devices are among the pioneers and Android is the playground, but we'd love it if the trend hits full swing and even other platforms...

HTC One mini review: Meet Junior

Mini" is the hot keyword for phones - a natural response to the pocket-busting 5" inch trend of this flagship generation. With the same premium aluminum unibody, the UltraPixel camera and BoomSound speakers, the HTC One mini can proudly bear its...

Premium aluminum unibody ; Quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE support; 3G with HSPA; LTE ; 4.3" 16M-color 720p Super LCD2 capacitive touchscreen with 342ppi pixel density; Gorilla Glass 3 ; Android OS v4.2.2 Jelly Bean with Sense UI 5.0 ; Qualcomm Snapdragon 400...

Relatively slow chipset with limited RAM ; 4MP camera has disappointing performance in good lighting conditions ; No optical image stabilization that made the HTC One camera special ; No microSD cards slot, only 12GB user available storage on the 16GB...

The HTC One mini is one of the very few phones trying to fill the gap of compact high-end phones. And it comes within walking distance of being the super mini, but it doesn't really go the whole way.

HTC One mini review

Just weeks after we put the Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini through its paces, we're looking at the HTC One mini, another attempt to shrink a flagship down into a

Stylish, solid design ; Sharp, well-performing 4.3-inch display ; Great camera ; Impressive loudspeaker audio quality

Disappointing battery life ; A few features dropped from the original One

The One mini proves that mid-range phones don't have to embarrass, with a capable camera, high-quality screen and a design that mostly stays faithful to the original One.
