Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 review:

I've always been a big fan of Xiaomi's phones and the Redmi Note 3 is no exception, but also may now be my new favourite. That's partly because of the phone's classy metal body (upgraded from plastic on previous models) and partly because of its low...

The Redmi Note 3 features a premium metal body, fingerprint scanner and a brilliant 5.5-inch display all at a low, low, price.

The camera, while adequate for a budget phone, tends to overexpose shots and it's a shame the phone drops the removable battery feature found on the previous model.

With its comfortable design and low price, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 is a top choice for phone-buyers on a budget.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Review

This review is based on a Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 with Snapdragon 650 SoC and 3GB of RAM, running a global software ROM with Google services pre-installed.

Large, high-resolution display ; Fast and reliable fingerprint scanner ; Good sound quality during phone calls ; Good battery life for the price ; Dual-SIM phone

Mediocre photo quality ; Software can be frustrating to deal with ; Buying one outside of Asia takes time and may be costly

There's no denying that the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 is a great deal in its homeland. For a phone costing the equivalent of $150 to $180, it delivers plenty of value for its money. Importing one to Europe or the U.S. makes less sense, however, and this is...

Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 (Pro) Review

Has Xiaomi lost its mojo? Is India no longer as big a priority for the messiah of the affordably priced quality smartphones? We've personally had quite a positive outlook towards the upstart but we'd be remiss not to mention that the public sentiment...

Camera could be better; Minor bugs in the software

Simply put, the Redmi Note 3 doesn’t face much competition. The combination of high-end internals, great build quality and good software makes it a formidable package. Factor in the seemingly never-ending battery life, the Rs. 9,999 price point and you...

No U.S. availability ; Camera is still about average for the price ; Display is lacking a bit in contrast and saturation

While not without its issues, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 excels in key areas where its competitors do not, including its premium build quality, exceptional battery life, and the availability of a fast and accurate fingerprint reader, all for an impressive...

Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 review

Xiaomi's phones aren't officially sold in the UK, but while the brand may not be well known to us Brits it's bigger than Apple and Samsung in China - and tomorrow the Note 3 will go on open sale in India. Redmi is the company's budget smartphone...

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 may not be best suited to UK users out of the box, but with some simple setup tweaks it is an excellent budget Android phone with a fantastic design and performance for the price.
