BlackBerry Bold 9650 (U.S. Cellular)

After RIM launched the BlackBerry Bold 9650 for both Sprint and Verizon earlier this year, regional carrier U.S. Cellular now has a turn at it as well. Like the other two, the U.S. Cellular version is an upgrade to the BlackBerry Tour , and features...

The RIM BlackBerry Bold 9650 has Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, and 512MB of onboard memory. It has a nice display and a great optical touch pad. It is a dual-mode device and can work on both GSM and CDMA networks.

The RIM BlackBerry browser can be tricky to navigate, and it doesn't have OS 6 yet.

The RIM BlackBerry Bold 9650 is one of a few phones that will please globe-trotting U.S. Cellular customers.

BlackBerry Bold 9650 (Verizon Wireless)

Verizon now offers several excellent Android smartphones, but enterprise customers may want a level of security and global roaming they can't get from the carrier's Android lineup. The BlackBerry Bold 9650 delivers. Like its brother on Sprint's...

Good voice quality. Solid battery life. Good camera. True world phone. Sublime QWERTY keyboard

Third-party app selection is slim. Could use a bigger screen. OS feels stale

The BlackBerry Bold 9650 is Verizon's best BlackBerry, but unless you need its enterprise management features, it falls behind the BlackBerry Torch and best-in-class Android and iOS devices.

BlackBerry Bold 9650 ( Verizon Wireless)

Just like the Sprint version, the RIM BlackBerry Bold 9650 for Verizon brings an update to the carrier's BlackBerry Tour . It's not a major overhaul but brings some nice enhancements, including Wi-Fi, double the onboard memory, and an optical touchpad,...

The RIM BlackBerry Bold 9650 adds Wi-Fi and double the onboard memory. The smartphone offers world-roaming capabilities and the SIM can be unlocked. Nice form factor.

BlackBerry browser is clunky to navigate and limited in functionality compared to others.

Verizon customers looking for a messaging smartphone with world roaming capabilities have a solid choice in the RIM BlackBerry Bold 9650.

RIM BlackBerry Bold 9650

Sprint customers disappointed by the lack of Wi-Fi on last summer's BlackBerry Tour 9630 will be pleased with the latest BlackBerry coming to the network. The BlackBerry Bold 9650 ($200 with a two-year contract from Sprint) offers Wi-Fi and twice as...

World roaming and other solid business features ; Excellent full QWERTY keyboard

No WebKit browser with BlackBerry OS 5.0 ; Lack of trackball may disconcert some users

With an excellent keyboard and a strong set of enterprise features, the Bold 9650 is ideal for business users—even though it is lacking a bit in the innovation department.

BlackBerry Bold 9650 (Sprint) Review

Even with BlackBerry OS 6 on the horizon, the BlackBerry Bold 9650 from Sprint is still a very good smart phone. Yes, it's lacking the better browser, 720p video recording, and 4G data of the identically priced HTC Evo 4G, but it's a great business...

Great design with comfortable keyboard, Easy-to-use optical trackpad, Sharp 3.2-MP camera

Lackluster web browser, Doesn't support 802.11n, Low-res camcorder

BlackBerry Bold 9650 (Sprint)

Promised since last summer, Sprint and RIM have finally brought a Wi-Fi-enabled BlackBerry Tour to market. Though it dropped the Tour from its name, the RIM BlackBerry Bold 9650 improves on the Tour, not only by adding Wi-Fi but also by doubling the...

The RIM BlackBerry Bold 9650 adds Wi-Fi and doubles the onboard memory. The smartphone offers world-roaming capabilities, strong messaging features, and a solid keyboard

Clunky Web browser

Though nothing revolutionary, the RIM BlackBerry Bold 9650 brings some welcome additions and offers Sprint customers a solid messaging world phone.

BlackBerry Bold 9650 (Sprint)

The BlackBerry Bold 9650 is boring, in a really good way. This smartphone is about the basics: clear voice calls, easy text messaging, sharp pictures, and strong battery life. If you want a solid, reliable phone to keep you in touch worldwide, the...

Excellent call quality. Good battery life. Sharp camera

Relatively tiny screen. Fewer apps compared to other platforms

Sprint's latest BlackBerry update is a reliable and respectable messaging phone, but it just doesn't have any "wow" features.

BlackBerry Bold 9650

The first CDMA BlackBerry Bold has arrived on the Sprint network: the BlackBerry Bold 9650 and it doesn't disappoint. It runs the latest BlackBerry OS 5.0 and is loaded with many Sprint features such as Sprint TV that help push this smartphone into a...

RIM BlackBerry Bold 9650 Review

The oft-praised BlackBerry Bold has landed on CDMA networks, kind of. The Bold 9000 was the first “premium” BlackBerry device and instantly made CDMA users jealous, as it was exclusively launched for GSM. The jealousy did not last for long, however, as...
