ZTE Axon 7 review:

You have to admire ZTE's effort. Its Axon 7 is the best looking and most powerful phone the Chinese company has made to date. Its super speedy processor performs just as fast as the flagship devices of Samsung, LG and Google -- a testament to how far...

The sophisticated and affordable ZTE Axon 7 has a zippy processor, expandable storage and loud speakers.

The phone is heavy and power users won't appreciate the non-removable battery.

The Axon 7 is ZTE's best to date, but the OnePlus 3 is a better phone at the same price.

ZTE Axon 7

The ZTE Axon is a $400 unlocked Android phone that looks and performs like phones that cost nearly twice as much.

Relatively affordable. Sleek metal design. Crisp Quad HD display. Booming speakers. Expandable storage. Fingerprint sensor, NFC, and dual-band Wi-Fi. Google Daydream-ready.

Heavy custom UI layer. Low-light camera performance isn't the best.

Conclusions The ZTE Axon 7 is a lot of phone for a lot less money than the competition. For $400 you get a premium metal design, a top-of-the-line processor, a Quad HD display, and support for all the major US carriers. There is no other phone on the...

Review: ZTE Axon 7

ZTE's flagship is an attractive piece of hardware that shows the company's A Game. The Axon 7 is a premium Android smartphone that costs less than some of the competition and yet performs just as well. Here is Phonescoop's full review.

The Axon 7 from ZTE is a fine option for people who prefer unlocked handsets. It works well with both AT&T and T-Mobile and at $400 is much more affordable than the top phones from HTC, Samsung, LG, and Motorola. Moreover, the Axon 7 competes well with...

ZTE Axon 7 review: Incredible hardware, dicey software

The ZTE Axon 7 is one of the most compact 5.5-inch phones on the market, and one of the most enjoyable to use, too — if you can get over some of the translation issues and software gimmicks. And while ZTE doesn't have a great reputation keeping its...

Excellent build quality and unique design ; Competitive price ; Extremely compact for a 5.5-inch phone ; Fantastic daylight camera

Software gimmicks distract from the experience ; Camera struggles in poor light ; Some translation issues ; 6GB version limited to Chinese market

ZTE Axon 7 review

A year after the mysterious Axon Pro, ZTE have launched the Axon 7 with a lot of upgrades and a $400 price tag. Is it the best affordable flagship around?

Remarkable dual front-facing stereo speakers ; Exemplary display ; Elegant design ; Exceptional performance ; Excellent battery life ; Awesome Hi-Fi audio ; Fingerprint reader is fast and accurate ; Very good camera overall ; Software is surprisingly...

Weak low-light camera performance ; Phone is slippery in the hand ; Certain areas in the software could use some more polish

The Axon 7 leads the way in terms of affordable flagships and aside from one drawback, delivers in every department. ZTE scores another first with an excellent smartphone that’s compatible with all major US networks. With the Axon 7, ZTE raises the bar...

ZTE Axon 7 review

Axon 7 wants to be your Samsung Galaxy S7 and iPhone 7 replacement

ZTE Axon 7 is less expensive than the best flagship smartphones, yet it looks and performs like a top-tier Android Marshmallow handset, with front-facing speakers, 64GB of storage and only a few sacrifices.
