Black and Decker Thermal Select is Awful!!!!

I love that it kept the coffee warm without that burnt taste.

The K-mart carafe I bought to replace it doesn't even stain! I wonder why???

Long lasting good coffee!!

Auto-shut off ; ease of cleanup ; pause for a cup ; easy read water level indicator

Only brews 8 cups at a time if you are serving many people

Giving it away today

Temperature of coffee was better than Mr. Coffee thermal coffeemaker. Easy to program.

Drippy, leaking lid and narrow mouthed carafe hard to clean

Product Specifications

Named after Eileen Gray, the Irish designer and architect who made Paris her home, this carafe featues a handsome patterned stainless steel frame, which also serves to protect the glass. Many avid coffee drinkers swear by the French press method, insisting it results in a more flavorful brew. It's a simple low tech approach: simply put coarsely ground coffee beans in the bottom, pour very hot water in, let it rest for at least 4 minutes, then slowly lower the plunger. The screen traps the grounds and your coffee is ready to serve.
