The beaker broke on my old press so instead of replacing the whole thing (about $60 or more) I thought a re-build was in order. My original press was a different brand but with the new Bodum beaker you would never know anything was replaced.

One negative that render this very nice product to only 40% useful or wasteful. The stem for the plunger is about 2 1/2 inches too short. Leaving about 1/3 cup of coffee not being able to pour out. I am wasting good coffee every time I use this cup.
