CoffeeGeek - Bodum Columbia Press Pot - Sam Decock's Review

I purchased my first press pot, an 8 cup Chambord, at the beginning of my "coffee adventure." Three months ago, I decided that I wanted a smaller press pot that I could use to make single cups, so I did some research and found this Columbia 4 cup....

Fantastic exterior design ; Fantastic interior design (plunger/filter) ; Insulated: retains heat very well ; Rugged: won't break from typical bumps and scratches

Expensive

CoffeeGeek - Bodum Columbia Press Pot - Bryan Wray's Review

I have a couple Columbia press pots and have purchased them over the course of a couple years. This has come to be the only press pot that I use anymore simply because I never have to worry about breaking it and I know that it is going to keep the...

Stainless steel retains heat better than glass varieties ; Pot is virtually indestructible, can't say that about glass ones ; The plunger/filter is the best one that I have ever used on a few different Bodum models ; Product breaks down into fewer...

None really, only that stainless is slightly harder to keep clean than glass, but this pot has never been a problem to keep clean

CoffeeGeek - Bodum Columbia Press Pot - John Vande Hei's Review

I have been using this pot every day for about six months and could not be more pleased with the results. Having never before used a press pot I was astounded by the difference in taste and quality when compared to my various drip makers.

Ease of use ; Price ; Indestrucability ; End product

Absolutely none

CoffeeGeek - Bodum Columbia Press Pot - Tim Eggers's Review

Bodum has done a wonderful job with the Columbia line of presses. I have had mine for over three years now and I would buy another one (if I needed one) in a heartbeat. I recommend this press to anyone looking for an easy to use and clean durable...

Great performer ; Easy to clean and use ; Very nice looking ; Extremely durable ; Fewer parts when disassembled then other Bodum presses ; Easy to clean one piece filter screen ; Keeps coffee hot during brewing ; The last press you will probably ever...

Nothing really but it will only keep coffee hot for about on hour. You should always drink the coffee fresh or decant the brewed coffee from this or any French press into a vacuum insulated thermos/pitcher ; The lid isn't insulated like the carafe so...

CoffeeGeek - Bodum Columbia Press Pot - George Servian's Review

I had heard a lot about French Press coffee makers, and decided to give one a try. After reading horror stories about glass units exploding (urban myth?), I decided to go with a stainless steel model. Having read good reviews on the Bodum, it was a...

Solid, good looking, makes great coffee

Takes longer to brew than my drip machine ; Larger pot doesn't keep one cup as hot as a smaller one would

CoffeeGeek - Bodum Columbia Press Pot - Erik N's Review

This is a wonderfull pot, even if you do not require the thermal insulation that this offers (some say you should not need it, because your going to drink your coffee fresh). I take this pot backpacking and on canoe trips. your glad to have the...

This pot is as indistructable as it gets. the only thing you could hurt would be the screen, and i have abused that, and it stands up! This thing looks great sitting between my Isomac Millenium and my Mazzer Mini. The design is smart! the spout...

The only thing i have wanted for in this pot, is some kind of sight window with graduations, to help keep the water amount consistent... but this is really MINOR

CoffeeGeek - Bodum Columbia Press Pot - Fred Falgiano's Review

I recently puchased the Bodum Columbia after reading and researching about press pots on CoffeeGeek and others. I opted for the Columbia due to its stainless steel construction and my known ability to destroy anything that can be easily broken.

Coffee tastes great. Easy to use, very easy to clean. Looks great

None so far
