Good looks, excellent espresso once you master its best in the business E61 brew head. It will be the talk around your kitchen table!

Wow - in 2004 I pulled the trigger spending over $2000 on this machine based on reviews and tech information. It took a like while to get the grind/coffee and tamp down to an art. But now I have hardcore italian foodies / world travellers tell me my...

E61 brew head ; Great looks ; solidly built

Cheap Pressure Stat ; Cheap plasticy gauge/cup tray edging ; Small drainage tray ; No Plumb in

Why I bothered with a commercial machine, I really don't know. This is by far the best machine I have owned so far.

Having blown the element on my old visacrem I went looking for a smaller machine, I previously owned an Oscar, so was used to Vibe pumps/HX machines. I found this one on Trade me for $750, used and very dirty on the outside. I bought it and it...

Looks, Small Footprint, Heat Stability and ease of use

Steam wand/Tip, Drip tray

I enjoy excellent espresso off this machine every day. My jitters are up and so is my power bill, but I wouldn't have it any other way.

I'm sure its all been said before, but I haven't said it yet and I'm loquacious, so read on if you dare. I'll try to assume that you are interested in an E61 and not a pushbutton brainless fully auto.

Solid manufacturing, professional components, e61 gruppo, aesthetics are great, classic styling, relatively modest price point for higher end machine

Plastic tamper, no backflush basket. This machine requires a knowledgeable operator

The only home machine I‘ve found that produces an excellent single shot. I love it.

I replaced my beloved Faema Contessa with the Giotto a year and a half ago, and have not regretted it. Traded my Contessa and grinder for a Mini Mazer grinder. Best thing about this machine is that it‘s the first home machine I‘ve found that can...

Heavy-duty portafilter, which, along with group head, heats up very nicely; commercial-syle spouts deliver beautiful coda di topo

My biggest complaint is the bush league way they attached the side pannels, which continually come loose with the inevitable vibration

The Giotto is the Rolls Royce of coffee machines with the breathtaking looks of the sleekest Jaguar

Looks a million bucks (stainless steel & gleaming) and works without a hitch makes the best coffee, paid $AUD2,200 expensive but worth every cent and it will last at least 30years or longer because all parts can be replaced, even the drip tray where it...

Semi commercial machine that works brilliantly

Visually stunning machine with commercial build quality - a non-stop flight to espresso nirvana.

Much has happened in the last 44 years. The world has born witness to unprecedented technological advances in computers, medicine, automobiles and space travel.

I know of no machine in this category more impressive looking that the Giotto Premium, often described as a “mass of morphing chromium.” The build quality, though not perfect, is better than competing machines such as the Andreja Premium. From the half...

The drip tray looks like an add-on and is not well integrated. The tray should have a pull-out drawer and should be a little deeper ; Add a timer so Giotto can be pre-heated and ready to go when the user wakes up in the morning ; Improve company...

This great machine is a lifetime investment.

I have owned my ECM Giotto espresso machine since 2003 and have used it virtually every day with great pleasure. Like any semi-automatic machine, it takes a little practice to determine the fineness of the grind, the tamping pressure, and other factors...

This is a great machine, one of the best in its class. It is able to make great shots every time and makes you feel a real barista.

The machine is built around an E-61 group, which is still considered as one of the best. I have bought this machine a few months after I bought the ECM Botticelli II. I liked the former, but making Lattes is hard, due to the single boiler. The Giotto...

good looking machine ; built quality ; brews good coffee ; temperature stability ; HX technology, so steaming directly after brewing is not a problem

no brew pressure gauge ; no brew temperature gauge ; level indicator of water reservoir would be nice ; lack of boiler insulation

A very nice espresso machine indeed!

I bought my Giotto in October from Union Coffe in Montreal. It now sells for $1650, Canadian $ and is very well priced considering some crazy prices some dealers wants for it. Union Coffee as also a web site.

Very beautifull machine, with the famous e-61 group

Very little to be negative about, save for a poor instruction manual. Otherwise their web site will promptly respond to my/your questions

UPDATED AFTER 5 YEAR OWNERSHIP -- Very well made and classic, will last a lifetime and will become the center piece of you kitchen every morning ... a

The machine perform well above my expectation. It is much more than anyone need for simple home use. It can handle lots of shots and foam lots of milk without any problem. Why this one not an Isomac machine. Simply because of design, and robustness. ...

THIS REVIEW IS FOR THE GIOTTO PREMIUM ... Solid, very well made, simple engineering makes it reliable and will last for many many years to come. Many pointed out that its "big" and take lots of place, but that is all the beauty of this machine, its a...

I beleive it is a little overpriced and if you buy make sure you order a tamper as well since ECM cuts the corner on that item and send you a very very cheap plastic one and not even the right size. The instruction manual is useless, better read as...
