CoffeeGeek - Hamilton Beach Brew Station - All - Chris Hoesing's Review

OK, let me start by saying this machine has been pretty flawless ever since I owned it until a couple weeks ago when the loop handle on the lift out tank broke in half. I may call Hamilton Beach customer support to inquire about a replacement handle...

Brews good coffee, the cup filling mechanism actually works well and is fun, has brewed coffee most mornings for over three years with out a hitch, keeps coffee hot, brews in a reasonable amount of time, looks decent I guess

Loop handle broke after about three years or so. If you want to fill a thermos a small amount of dis-assembly is needed

If you are thinking about the Brewstation, I say go for it! It is great to use, and it will be the envy of your friends!

I have read several reviews about the Brewstation online through various sites, before I decided to buy it. When I got the machine, I knew I was taking a risk with it being so split-reviewed.

Automatic shut-off is a must, and it doesn't turn off too early. Making coffee is the easiest it has ever been, and I don't have to worry about the caraffe spilling

I have found that the drip tray is too small, and apparently I am not alone on this matter. I read that in reviews before I decided to go with it

For the price we paid, even if it breaks down in a year, I'm not going to complain. But, so far I'm having no problems and really like it over the cof

My wife got this for me after having gone through a series of coffee makers of the past few years. I'm not one to spend the money on a high end machine so we were looking for something simple and effective. Normally, it's just me drinking coffee, but...

I've always hated coffee pots because very few of them were designed not to drop while pouring. The last two I got that had properly designed pots had heat plate failures within months. It's a no win with them. The BrewStation has not pot. I just stick...

Water/condensation pools in the top, so when I lift it open to clean out, water tends to drip down the back. It's certainly not made out of the most durable products, but it has few moving parts so it really makes little difference in the long run

Needs improvement

The Hamilton Beach Brew Station has some very nice features.  I like that you can tell how much coffee you have left by looking in the site glass.  I also like being able to just put the cup to the pot to get coffee.

Makes great coffee, no carafe to break, easy to use and simple to clean, would highly recommend this coffee maker.

This is a great coffee maker. Just the fact that there is no carafe to break, clean, or replace is justification on getting one of these Brewmasters. The simplicity of making coffee is another good feature of this machine. I have found with my model...

Easy to fill ; Few Parts ; Easy to Clean ; Keeps Coffee Hot for up to 2 hours ; Price to Value

Model I own is all plastic ; Filling a little awkward depending where you have the machine located ; Dispensing lots of cups of coffee say for company

A nice looking machine, but the mechanics are subpar. A coffee maker is about making good coffee. This maker does not do that.

We bought this coffee maker upon a positive recommendation from a relative. We were unable to brew a pot of coffee without having the coffee grounds go all over the place, including over the filter and into the coffee resevoir.

This is a nice looking product

Coffee grounds rise up and over the filter and get into machine and coffee

They stand behind their product, and this brewstation has lasted a year - so I was wrong about it's longevity.

We were excited about the removable bucket for filling, the no drip spout on the bucket, the one handed dispenser and the component design of the coffee maker. Since we wanted a programmable coffee maker this was a key feature. The clock is hard to...

Easy pour/easy wash bucket ; Controls on the side ; One-handed pour spout ; component design is easy to keep clean

Clock is hard to read and is not reliable, we owned two of these appliances because the first one's clock died after three months. The second died after 4 months and the element quit after a year
