Great features, I like the variable plate temperature and night light. Very nice style and if you really know how to make a good cup of coffee (don't perk it), this is a great machine.

I have the very first one of these that came out, it has a couple nasty flaws including a rather lame problem with the filter rising up allowing the fresh brewed coffee to seep backwards from the filter holder and down the front of the machine,...

Avoid this and others like it

When ours shorted out, it was brewing, and damaged the kitchen GFCI -- no big deal if you have a GFCI in the curcuit, but potentially a bad thing in an older home.

I did not purchase this from Newegg - the Egg wasn't selling coffepots at the time.

Has to be the worst design ever. All of the electronics above the pot are not water-tight and as it brews, the steam rises and eventually -- soon -- shorts the whole thing out.

I mainly bought this maker due to the ability to choose the brew strength. I use the coffee to make iced coffee and it is better than any iced coffee I have ever purchased from a coffee shop. I use freshly ground coffee, pick strong brew and then let...

I am would not consider myself a coffee snob, but I do like good coffee. This maker prevents coffee from going anywhere except in the decanter or in a cup. The features are great and super useful!
