Well, we should have read the reviews first. We bought this, plus an extra pitcher. I loved the idea it was glass. We got it to replace a ten year old Mr. Coffee 3qt. maker. We unpacked it; washed the pitchers, etc., and ran the "clean" cycle through....

I used this once...it made great tea...then didn't work again. Wal-Mart sells the same thing, same price, and much easier to return if it quits.

I've used mine 5 or 6 times now with no issues at all and the pitcher doesn't take up much space in the fridge. It's nice looking enough to keep out and easy to handle if you want to store it (like I do) in a cabinet.
