Don't Buy This Machine

Don't Buy This Machine

The Saeco Easy Espresso machine was given to me as a gift. When it works it makes wonderful coffee, but it keeps breaking down. I had to send it back after 6 months ($20 to FedEX), and then a few months later it stopped again. The problem is that the...

Great coffee value

Great coffee value

Bought the Saeco Easy in April 2007 after using a manual Saeco Classico for a few years. The Easy is indeed "easy," and after a little experimentation makes a great shot of expresso. Only feature I would add is a bypass doser, so you can use...

Good machine for the value

Good machine for the value

We bought this machine in the US after experiencing espresso from our friend's Saeco Easy in Germany. First the positives: it makes great espresso, it heats up very quickly (it says 1.5 minutes, but if it's been on during the day, it heats up in 60...

Interesting comments from first 2 reviewers

First off, I'm thrilled to have my machine and my lattes taste great. However, I've had my machine for only a couple days and am experiencing some similar issues mentioned by the first 2 reviewers. Now that I've read these, I will be patient and see if...

Great Machine!

Great Machine!

I too had a minor problem with mine on the first day (the light on the "steam button" sometimes worked when pushed, and sometimes it didn't). After about ten complete cycles of Cappuccino making it began working normally. I've owned it for over a month...

Had some problems

At first we thought ours was defective, because it had to be primed (letting water flow through the steam wand) after every brew cycle, and the front knob wasn't working. After using it for a week with these problems, it seemed to fix itself, I guess...

The Saeco Easy Truly Lives Up To Its Name!

The Saeco Easy Espresso Machine truly does live up to its name. We have enjoyed this machine immensely in our two months of ownership. There are some things we would like to improve, but overall this machine is a great value for the price. ...

Product Specifications

The name of Saeco's new super-automatic says it all: Easy. The Easy goes beyond the basics to offer convenience and several features to help tailor espresso drinks to your taste. With minimal prep work, you can set up your machine to produce a quality espresso shot time after time. The Easy has a professional burr grinder built into the top of the machine with a dial that lets you adjust the degree of grind for different drinks. The 18 settings give you plenty of room to choose a fine grind for espresso or a coarse grind for café crema. The adjustable doser, which is controlled by a similar knob also located in the bean hopper, lets you vary how much (6-9 grams) coffee goes into each shot of espresso. And finally, a knob in the center of the display control panel allows you to choose how much coffee you want in each cup. For example, turning the knob counter-clockwise will result in less liquid and a stronger tasting coffee. After making these choices, the Easy will do the rest. Touch the push button marked with a mug once for a single shot or twice for a double shot.
