Consumer review (coffeegeek.com)

A superb super automatic machine. You can tell that a lot of thought has been put into such a small package.

I am not someone that could be called a coffee geek. I like good espresso but do not have the time or the inclination to spend hours on a traditional machine getting a shot perfect. Living where I do if I want an espresso ‘how it should be done' then I...

Very easy to use ; Designed to be compact and will fit comfortably under average height kitchen units ; Offers a fair bit of flexibility with the following all adjustable ; grind fineness ; grind dosage ; water dosage per shot ; grind bypass (for your...

The cup heating plate takes 10 minutes to warm up ; The instruction page (manual) leaves a lot to be desired ; As of this review, the manual is not available via download ; The steam nozzle is a little restrictive ; From what I can tell, this machine...

Well, they are going to have to make this product a little more sturdy.

I've used this machine for just over a year. It was an OK machine in that it didn't deliver the Crema that my other super automatic did. Odd too, since the insides of this machine are the same as on my 600 model. The only difference is that this...

This machine has an easy to use push button delivery system and is a reasonable size for counter top use where it is always in view. Water filling and bean filling is easy. The warning light system tells you when it is out of beans, low on water, or...

Somewhat flimsy design but ok for the price. Coffee comes out not as hot as I would like and bean amount and grind adjustments don't seem to make much difference no matter what coffee you use

Buy it from Costco in case you don't like it.

This machine was suppose to be a replacement for my 5 year old Vienna Deluxe. After a week of experimenting with all the coffe settings and 1/3lb of coffe beams I was not able to get close to the cinamon redish crema I get from Vienna Deluxe. It did...

Nice looking ; Make lots of froth ; Nice lcd display ; Lots of adjustments, if you like that ; Stays pretty clean inside

Did not like the expresso it made ; Steam wand somewhat restrictive ; Can't get the milk hot without creating too much froth ; Drip tray gets full quickly ; Minimum guidance on how to adjust all the different settings it has

A quirky machine that makes good coffee with a simple press of a button, when it works.

I wrote the following review after owning the machine for 3 months. Although my opinion has changed, I decided not to edit my original review, but rather add my current opinion under the 3 Month Review section. The contrast is interesting:

All metal casing ; Easy to adjust size of drink ; Quality of coffee

Insufficient number of idiot lights to warn of problems ; Cannot clean grinder ; Unreliable

One of the best <$2K super-autos on the market right now; still has the limitations of similar priced superautos

This is my first super-auto (and for that matter my first espresso machine). This first foray into coffee/espresso world (or is it obsession as wife would say) is after years of going to small coffee shops. After hours of research, I did not think I...

Dual thermablock heater so essentially no lag between brew and steam(but still cannot brew bean and steam milk at same time) ; removable brew group ; Steel exterior ; compact (relative) compared to other superautos ; Electronic interface & flat touch...

instruction manual too basic (e.g. no mention how to lubricate brew group) so must contact Saeco for supplement ; do not expect same level of espresso compared to semi-automatic (I do not think any superauto <$5K will compare) ; oily beans will clog...

I would buy this machine again, because it easy to use and makes coffee thats better than the most coffee houses.

This is the first espresso machine I've owned, so my experence is in making expresso is limited. Nor do I consider myself to be an expert in the taste. But I do like coffee. I generally, purchase my coffee at regular chain coffee houses, like...

Simple to use ; Heat water within half a minute for both steaming and espresso ; Access to water tank machine swivels ; Quality made machine ; Nice frothing wand ; Quiet Operating

Small water tank

Overall this is a very good machine, easy to use and produces a great cup of coffee.

This is my first foray into any coffee machine beyond a drip type. I researched a lot of them online but found very few locally to try. And those that I did find were priced at about 75% above the price I'd pay online. I gave a US$ price on the...

ease of use ; puts out a great cup of coffee ; removeable/cleanable brew group ; consistent product

price is pretty high ; steam wand is tight to machine but useable ; manual is really sparse

Highly recommended

This is my first coffee machine and I bought it mainly because my wife needed one. What made me buy this machine was the stainless steal components inside the machine, ceramic grinder and ...the look. This was the pritiest machine I have seen so far....

Looks prity, a lot of electronics, quiet operation, nice coffee

Despite the fact that most of the parts are stainless steal, there are a lot of plastic parts inside the machine. I am not sure about the durability of the machine

If I had to change the machine, it will have to be the same!!!

this machine has given me endless cups of coffee, is always ready, easy to clean, all you need is water and your favorite coffee beans, and all at a press of a button. The filter is easy to manage, the cleaning and changing of degrader is easy, just...
