Olympus PEN Mini E-PM2

This year's entry-level Micro Four Thirds camera, the Olympus PEN Mini E-PM2 ($599.99 direct with lens), comes in at a higher price than its predecssor, the $500 PEN E-PM1 . For the extra money you get a vastly improved 16-megapixel image sensor and...

Sharp kit lens. Good high ISO performance. Fast shot-to-shot time and focus. Live Guide mode. Optional EVF available. In-camera art filters

Fixed rear display. No built-in flash

The Olympus PEN Mini E-PM2 is a capable little interchangeable-lens camera with a Live Guide mode for photographic novices, but for just $100 more you can get a better PEN.

Olympus E-PM2 review

Olympus launched the PEN Mini E-PM2 and the PEN Lite E-PL5 at Photokina 2012. Both PEN cameras share a lot of similarities, most notably the same 16.1 million pixel sensor and TruePic VI processor that have been taken from the highly acclaimed Olympus...

Olympus PEN E-PM2 Review

You can't complain about the lack of variety in the current crop of mirrorless interchangeable lens compact cameras! This one will sure fit many people right down to the ground.

Olympus PEN Mini E-PM2 review

There's a lot of choice in Olympus's Pen range. The E-PM2, also known as the Pen Mini, is the baby, and smallest, model of the company's compact system camera range.

Affordable, good image quality, fast single autofocus, art filters have plenty of use, touchscreen, hotshoe and accessory port

Kit lens is a bit soft, no built-in flash, front grip is plasticky, few function buttons, can't use included flash and optional electronic viewfinder together, continuous autofocus not up to scratch

A solid compact system camera, the E-PM2 succeeds in improving on its E-PM1 predecessor across the board. Image quality is good, though a more premium lens will get the most out of the camera. We're definitely fans of the E-PM2, but its the all-round...

Hands on: Olympus PEN Mini E-PM2 review

Photokina 2012 Olympus's smallest compact system camera gets 16.1 million pixels and touchscreen control. So it is easier to use now?

Olympus PEN E-PM2

Olympus's entry-level PEN camera is updated with touch screen controls and a higher-resolution Live MOS sensor.

The E-PM2 is a nice little camera for snapshooters making their first foray into interchangeable-lens photography. However, it won't encourage them to develop their photographic skills and understanding because it is simply too difficult to access and...

Besides a redesigned image sensor and processor, Olympus improved on the E-PM1 with better ergonomics and a handy touchscreen.
