Samsung NX210

The Samsung NX210 is, apart from the addition of a Wi-Fi mode, as good as identical to its predecessor Samsung NX200. In this article we have therefore concentrated on the new features of the camera but also included our usual studio test scene....

Good image quality with very high resolution and good detail at base ISO ; Well-designed and intuitive user interface, suitable for point-and-shoot users and enthusiasts alike ; Good customizability including the useful iFn button ; Attractive...

Longer than usual processing times after taking raw shots (but improved over NX200) ; Fairly aggressive noise reduction starts blurring detail at lower ISOs and mixes with high levels of chroma noise at higher sensitivities ; No live view feed in...

The Samsung NX210 offers you the high pixel-count and compact dimensions of the NX200 and adds WiFi-connectivity to the mix. The NX210 is slightly let down by long buffering times in raw mode and the JPEG engine's noise treatment at high sensitivities...

Samsung NX210 (with 18-55mm lens)

Though it uses the same sturdy, well-designed body as the NX200 , and boasts a broad set of sharing and connectivity options, the Samsung NX210's performance and JPEG photo quality don't seem to match its predecessor's.

With excellent raw photos for a sub-$1,000 model, a nicely designed user interface, and a broad set of sharing features, the Samsung NX210 is a solid option for enthusiast photographers.

Its autofocus is a bit slow for the price and the JPEG processing could use some work.

The Samsung NX210's raw photos and the shooting experience it provides distinguish it from competitors, but it's slower than it should be and JPEG photos don't match the rest of the field.

Samsung NX210First Impressions Review

The Samsung NX210 combines the sleek, compact design of the NX1000, with a few of the extra high-performance features and design implementations of the high-end NX20. Because of this, Samsung describes it as the most versatile of its new NX cameras—all...

The NX210 isn’t a revolutionary camera by any means. It has the same 20.3-megapixel CMOS sensor as its predecessor, the NX200, and the only huge new addition is the inclusion of a Samsung’s built-in WiFi feature. By this rationale, the NX210 is...

Samsung NX210 Preview

The NX System, from Samsung, is a compact line of interchangeable lens cameras designed to work with all nine NX-series lens. This year, the big news is "In-Built Wifi." This means, you'll not only be taking high resolution 20.3 megapixel still photos...

Samsung NX210

While the NX210 is compelling enough as a picture-taking machine, an extra selling point for general consumers is the camera's capabilities as a picture-sharing machine. Samsung has loaded its compact system camera with Wi-Fi connectivity and on-board...

Solidly built metal casing. Design is both aesthetically pleasing and very comfortable to shoot with. The 18-55mm kit lens is optically stabilized for better images at slower shutter speeds. In manual focus mode, LED display automatically zooms to the...

No built-in flash. No flash control button, so you’ve got to use the function button and then scroll to the flash icon to change or adjust the flash output. Slow RAW processing. The Wi-Fi functionality would benefit from a touchscreen. Android apps...

($899) is a compact mirrorless interchangeable lens camera -- err, Smart Camera. Samsung has given the "Smart Camera" moniker to all of their Wi-Fi equipped cameras this year, and their implementation of this feature is one of the best I've seen. In...

Very good image quality ; Compact, well-designed, solidly built body ; Gorgeous 3-inch AMOLED display ; Excellent Wi-Fi implementation ; Attractive, easy-to-use interface with help screens for every option ; Full manual exposure controls, plus white...

Burst mode woes: camera locked up while saving to memory card, display lags behind the action, small amount of buffer memory ; OLED display can be difficult to see outdoors ; A bit pricey ; Camera's small size becomes moot when a zoom lens is attached...

Overall, I really enjoyed my time with the Samsung NX210. The healthy set of auto and manual controls, beautiful OLED display and UI combination, good photo quality, and best-in-class Wi-Fi features make the NX210 well worth looking at -- though it's a...

Samsung NX210

Announced alongside the NX1000 and NX20, the NX210 is a direct replacement to the NX200 and actually adds very little. It boasts the same 20.3 megapixel sensor as its predecessor and essentially the same styling. Although not an upgrade, the sensor is...
