CompactFlash Card

Lexar JumpDrive Lightning

The Lexar JumpDrive Lighting is almost as fast and flashy as its meteorological namesake, but it's the software extras that make it worth buying.

Includes security software. Ability to run apps from the drive. Decent performance.

Easy-to-lose cap.

The software extras are what make this drive worth buying.

Edge DiskGo USB Watch Drive

Company: Peripheral Enhancements Corp., www.peripheral.com Price: 128MB: $100 street; 256MB: $125

Elegant, stylish looks. Attractive pricing. Fast transfer speeds.

Requires transfer cable. Storage is less accessible than with keychain-style flash drives. Slower USB 1.1 interface.

Hidden within an attractive steel watch is a reasonably priced flash drive. You'll have to remember the retractable cable when you step away from your desk, but the DiskGo! watch is an excellent way to keep your important files at hand.
